Services include case management, care coordination, benefits assistance, caregiver support, social and wellness programs, and connections to community resources. Staff assist with navigating aging-related needs and accessing available services.

Educates members about Jewish traditions and the traditions of other religious and cultural groups. Holds an annual JFNA/Jewish Welfare Fund campaign to provide funds for the three agencies under the JCBA umbrella: the Shaw Jewish Community Center of Akron, The Lippman School, and Jewish Family Service.

Develops and maintains positive intergroup relationships in the community by attempting to foster good will and understanding. Represents the Jewish community by participating in community groups. Offers speakers to schools and organizations for presentations on Judaism and/or Israel. Maintains a calendar of events on website.

Serves Jewish children who are in need and will benefit from adult companionship. Seeks to enrich children's lives by providing support, friendship, understanding and stability. Potential Big Brothers/Big Sisters are interviewed and matched with a child. The adults are asked to commit to see their matched child twice a month for one year.

Administers scholarships, interest-free loans, and grants to eligible students who are enrolled in accredited institutions of higher education. Grants and loans are based on need and available funds. Funds may be used toward tuition and education fees. Scholarships are awarded in competition with other students who have met application requirements.

Functions as a central fund-raising agency for Jewish agencies. Funds educational, humanitarian and social services through local partner agencies, schools, international organizations, area synagogues and community organizations.

Acts as central planning agency for Jewish community events and programs.

Provides care, therapy, Kosher meals, and recreation to persons who are frail, physically-handicapped, experiencing social isolation, or have mild to severe memory-impairment. Offers participants personal care services and activities such as field trips, art, music and dance therapy programs, exercise and wellness, and horticultural programs. Also provides short term respite care for adults.

Provides inpatient and outpatient hospice and palliative care. Offers supportive services to the patients' families and caregivers.

Maintains a database that list volunteer opportunities and makes referrals to those agencies needing volunteers. Volunteers serve in various capacities such as at soup kitchens, food pantries, holiday parties and meals and collecting needed items such as food and personal supplies. Most assignments are longer term, but short-term assignments available four times a year. Some opportunities are targeted to the Jewish community, such as collecting Kosher food and planting flowers and cleanup at a Jewish cemetery.
