The Victim/Witness Division provides crisis intervention and supportive services to victims and witnesses of violent crime. Advocates provide specialized services to victims of sexual violence, domestic violence and survivors of homicide victims. Advocates respond to area emergency departments to provide crisis intervention and support to victims of sexual violence regardless of whether an offender is identified and/or prosecuted. Advocates work with families who have lost a loved one to a homicide and offer a monthly support group. Additionally, advocates are located at CARE House to provide services to child victims of physical and sexual abuse. Advocates are available to provide court advocacy and an explanation of the criminal justice process. Eligible victims are notified of and provided information and assistance concerning the Victim Compensation Program. Advocates also provide assistance to victims on post-conviction issues including parole hearings.

Services include the following: forensic interviews at a child-friendly site where professionals conduct joint investigative interviews with child victims, crisis counseling and case management for victims and non-offending family members (available to children and families at all stages of the investigation and prosecution process). The program helps children and families cope and heal emotionally, animal-assisted therapy support for victims of violence. Provides practical information and support to the children and family about the investigation and court process, safety education that teaches young children about safe and unsafe touches and ways to seek help from trusted adults, and also provides on-site medical exams.

Provides basic consumer education regarding electricity and its use. Offers information that will help consumers make price comparisons between suppliers and provides list of suppliers. Also provides a phone number to report power outages in event of storms and other events exterior to an individual home. Every few years will come out to properties and assess if a tree needs to be trimmed due to it interfering with power lines (can also call to request service if tree branches are interfering with power lines).
