Works with a network of local agencies, free clinics, hospitals, private companies, healthcare professionals and programs in Ohio to provide care.

Provides a membership association for area health care institutions that focuses on maintaining financial viability of member hospitals, developing and addressing the future needs of the area's health care workforce and maintaining the health status of the community. Accomplishes these goals through research, political advocacy, and appropriate collaboration with other community organizations. Offers recommendations and physician referrals.

Dental care, vision care, respite care, rehabilitation services and hospice care can be provided by the agency as needed. If a participant needs any Durable Medical Equipment, such as a wheelchair or a lift chair, that equipment is ordered, delivered, and installed free of charge.

Disease/condition topics include: diabetes, kidney disease, prostate cancer, high cholesterol, hypertension, and sickle cell anemia. Also offers screenings for these conditions for community events.

Provides Certified Community Health Workers who conduct intensive community service navigation, involving assisting clients to enroll in Medicaid and connecting them with medical, mental health, dental, vision care, substance abuse, and other necessary social service resources.

Schedules a physician to speak at a local site on any number of wellness or health-care related topics.

Provides an opportunity for residents to learn about healthy food alternatives, the benefits of physical activity, and producing fresh vegetables in their individual gardens. Program includes lectures on healthy eating, community gardening, a walking club and participation in a plan to encourage safe travel to school for children who walk or bike.

Offers referral and information services for recent outbreak of hand, foot and mouth disease in Knox County.

Provides navigation services. Helps community members with understanding insurance options and benefits, Medicaid and SNAP enrollment, as well as referral to other community services and resources.

Seeks to safeguard individuals through effective mediation assuring access to care, maintenance of employment, and preservation of their financial stability relative to their diagnosis of life threatening or debilitating diseases. Helps seek out options to overcome insurance denials, healthcare access issues, and medical debt crisis challenges.
