Actively seeking individuals who are willing, on a voluntary basis without remuneration, to assist with a variety of volunteer projects including office work, produce pickup, packing food and serving clients in the food pantry, organizing the warehouse, delivering meals, and general cleanliness and maintenance.

Provides a safe supply of water to more than 8000 homes and businesses in the county. As with all community water systems, the county system must comply with rules established by the Safe Drinking Water Act. The Water Department treats the water and monitors the water at many points within the system to assure the customers’ safety. The employees of the Water Department are dedicated to providing the customers with the highest quality water service. Dental Service provides multi-specialty care to Veterans who meet eligibility requirements. Services must be obtained through the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center at 420 North James Road, 2nd Floor, Columbus.

Offers mental health treatment from psychiatrists and psychiatric nurses. Treatment may include psychiatric medication evaluation and management.

Provides primary care for homebound patients, from routine exams to complex treatment such as assessments, EKGs, drawing blood, immunizations, ultrasounds and x-rays. Physicians are specialists in geriatric or internal medicine. For continuity of care, the same doctor visits the patient each time help is needed.

This group encourages parents to become more involved in their children's educational lives. They meet once a month and have a wide variety of focus areas including health services, case management, community resources, nutrition, relaxation techniques, and stress.
