Take-Back Days: These occur twice a year and locations are offered in McConnelsville and surrounding communities. Enables the safe disposal of unwanted and expired prescription and over the counter medications. Pills should be removed from bottles and placed in baggies. This is a great opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft. *Acceptable items for disposal are: Prescription drugs, Over-the-counter medications , Pet medications, Vitamins , Ointments, creams or lotions , Liquid medications, cough syrups . *Items NOT accepted include: Liquids, injectables and inhalers.

Respond to reports of illegal activity or accidents that occur within the City of Pickerington - child abuse (even just suspected) can be reported to Child Protective Services or to the police on weekends and after CPS office hours. For areas outside the city limits call the Fairfield County sheriff or other city agency.

Office is responsible for housing the vast majority of maps and infrastructure construction plans within the City. We maintain current city maps of all types, including zoning maps, flood zone maps, and ward & precinct maps. We also are involved with all aspects of the City's infrastructure, from plan reviews by residential and commercial developers, plan design for our own projects, construction inspection, and project administration and record keeping. We work with nearly every City division to provide technical assistance on their projects or mapping needs.

Provides a temporary address, telephone (including fax service), bathroom, and shower facilities for those who are homeless.

Provides access to financial assistance for military families in emergency situations. Evaluates the need for assistance on a case-by-case basis. Funds can be used for food, rent, utilities, and other emergency needs. Funds are grants or loans through the Military Relief Aid Society.

Offers the following pregnancy related services: Pregnancy testing; Abortion referrals; Adoption referrals. Because of the time needed for paperwork processing, conducting the test, and giving the results, patients should arrive no later than one hour before closing for pregnancy tests. Pregnancy tests are urine tests. We do not offer blood pregnancy tests. If you choose to continue a pregnancy, we will provide you with a list of resources to help you obtain prenatal care. If you learn you are pregnant and decide to terminate the pregnancy, we will provide you with abortion services or refer you to an abortion provider.

Offers volunteer opportunities for this who would like to assist special events for fundraising. Volunteers assist with staffing tables, providing information on the agency, and event organization.

Volunteer opportunities include: Help girls at traditional troop meetings twice a month; Facilitators are needed for outreach troops (6-8 week time commitment); assistance with Dazzling Desserts fund raiser; Serve on various committees and task groups.
