Our medical providers offer Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) services to patients to reduce the likelihood of contracting HIV. Our providers are also trained in providing Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) an emergency-based treatment for the prevention of HIV after possible exposure has occurred. Connects individuals and families to support services and area agencies to assist with overcoming health and/or social needs barriers they are experiencing.

Provides supplemental food vouchers, nutrition education, counseling, support and referral services to eligible women, children, fathers, and kinship caregivers. Nursing mothers are provided with information and education on breastfeeding. Also offers speakers who discuss the program and the value of good nutrition and breastfeeding.

The Ohio State student dental clinics are open to the public and offer dental services and specialty care for patients of all ages, including the medically, mentally or physically complex patient, as well as dental-phobic patients. Appointments may take longer than in a private office, however services often cost half of the Columbus average. All care is performed by students under the supervision of our exceptionally skilled licensed faculty dentists.

Administers some aspects of the Medicare program. Can assist with eligibility questions, enrollment in original Medicare (Medicare Part A - Hospital Insurance and Medicare Part B - Outpatient Medical Insurance), change of address, replacement of Medicare card and questions about premiums.

Provides patients with a one time financial assistance for travel expenses related to their blood cancer diagnosis and treatment. Funds are subject to availability. Those who qualify will receive $500, once within a 6 month period, to cover the cost of treatment-related travel and lodging expenses for the patient and caregiver including: ground transportation; tolls; gas; parking; car rental; car maintenance, repairs and parts; air transportation; baggage fees; lodging; and ambulance services.

Celebrate and give thanks with the as they throw a Thanksgiving feast for the entire community! The dinner is free and open to the public. Dinners will be available inside the banquet room at the Civic Center for carryout or dine inside. For drive thru carryout dinners, drive in the Wingate parking lot from Elizabeth Street to the covered lobby awning where meals will be handed out. Dinner is organized by the Compassionate Ministries of Lima, Inc. They will also be distributing fresh food/hygiene products if needed.

Collects money due to the county for real estate, manufactured home, and estate taxes; collects money for all county funds; deposits on a daily basis; redeems Auditor issued warrants from the bank daily; and invests county funds.

Nutrition education program for women, infants, and children. In addition to nutrition education, participants in the program receive monthly food benefits that include foods that help support growth and development (milk, eggs, beans, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and peanut butter). Nutrition education provided through the WIC program is focused on meeting nutritional needs during pregnancy and until age 5. Common topics covered in WIC appointments include: healthy recipe ideas, cooking basics, family meal time, the roles of vitamins and minerals, and the recommended portions for certain age groups. Our WIC program also provides breastfeeding education and helps link program participants to medical care and community resources. Women who are pregnant or who have recently had a baby, infants, and children under age 5 are eligible for the program if they receive a form of Ohio Medicaid, or if their household income is less than 185% of the poverty level.

Early intervention (EI) is designed to stimulate development early in life to provide children the opportunity to maximize their abilities. Early Intervention serves children from birth to three years of age who have been evaluated and found eligible for services. A Service Coordinator assisst families with linkages to specialized services.

Provides information and guidance for individuals who need assistance in the area of law which relates to the rights and needs of older adults. Services provided include the following areas:

• Discrimination.
• Consumer fraud.
• Wills.
• Powers of attorney.
• Social Security benefits, Medicaid, and Medicare.
• Foreclosures and tax controversies.

Provides home-delivered meals. Meals are cold but can be heated in the oven or microwave. Participants can choose as many days to receive meals as they wish. Meals are delivered three days a week, but can choose 7 days worth of meals.

Accepts filings for sealing criminal records (also called an expungement). An expungement allows a criminal case to be removed (record is sealed) from the records of persons who have committed or been convicted of committing a crime, who have been found not guilty, or whose case has been dismissed. Generally, records can be sealed for first-time offenders only - certain crimes such as murder and rape cannot be sealed. Does not give legal advice or provide forms.
