The Food Assistance Program, formerly called food stamps and known nationally as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), helps eligible low-income Ohioans stretch their food budgets and buy healthy food. Food assistance benefits are distributed electronically through the Ohio Direction Card, which is similar to a debit card.

Seeks to give participants an understanding of what children are communicating in their behaviors. Includes a parenting course for teachers to teach child development and parenting skills to high school students. May offer CEU's. Offers ongoing intensive weekly consultations to day care centers and preschools.

Provides general podiatry services and care, with the exception of nail disorders, to veterans.

In-school consultation for teachers and principals regarding classroom management of behavioral and emotionally disabled youth. Individual and group mental health counseling for students. Services also include (as requested by the school) depression awareness and suicide prevention education. Can provide parent-approved student screening for mental health problems with parent follow-up for linkage to community care.

Oversees Ohio's election process and appoints members to local boards of election. Supervises the administration of election laws, reviews statewide initiative and referendum petitions, chairs the Ohio Ballot Board, canvasses votes for all elective state offices and issues, investigates election fraud and irregularities, trains election officials and works with counties to train poll workers. The Elections Division of the Secretary of State’s office also compiles and maintains election statistics, political party records and other election-related records. Provides information on doing business in Ohio and grants authority to do business in Ohio.

Schedules a physician to speak at a local site on any number of wellness or health-care related topics.
