Provides aid to families in the form of a voucher to buy items or pay for services that are emergencies and non-recurring and which cannot be addressed using existing community resources. Assistance is provided only for items that are essential for the applicant's employment, job training, or education such as car repairs, car payments, or car insurance payments; car down payment; work clothing and uniforms; and tools and safety equipment. Also will help pay for professional testing/certification and licensing fees, identification materials (driver's license, state identification, birth certificates), driver's education, and other items as deemed appropriate by the agency. Transportation to work provided through the most cost effective means. A budget will need to be completed and watching a one hour financial literacy video may be required.

Considers cases where tax foreclosure was not filed by the County Treasurer; pre-tax foreclosure where foreclosure has been threatened but not filed yet.

This unit provides a secured environment that specializes in behavioral health for adult females. There are 6 semi-private rooms (12 beds), a dining room, activity room, and secure courtyard area. Smoking is permitted, during designated times with staff supervision, in the courtyard area. The Activity Aide for this particular unit is cross-trained as a STNA, in addition to the regularly scheduled nurse and STNA on site. All staff for this unit have completed a specialized Physical/Psychological Management Training.

Claims that do not involve money damages are not heard in Small Claims Court (Complaints seeking the return of property, or an order requiring a party to perform a certain act, must be filed in the Civil Division). Small Claims examples: failure to repay a loan, fix a car or appliance properly, return a security deposit, or meet the terms of a service contract -- for example, properly remodel a kitchen or install a new roof.
