The goal of the Athens City-County Health Department’s immunization program is to reduce and eliminate vaccine-preventable diseases in children and adults. We offer the following immunizations:

• Diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis
• Haemophilus influenza type b
• Hepatitis A
• Hepatitis B
• Human papillomavirus
• Influenza (Seasonal Flu Shot Information - Click here)
• Measles, mumps and rubella
• Meningococcal (meningitis)

Offers assistance to Clark County individuals with permanent physical, intellectual or developmental disabilities. Our emphasis is on children. As funds allow, assistance also to adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Limited funds are available for adults with physical disabilities.

Provides a service to help unhoused and low income individuals in Cuyahoga County, to obtain their identification documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, divorce decrees, State of Ohio IDs, State of Ohio Driver’s Licenses and Commercial Driver’s Licenses replacements and renewals (IDs) and more.

The Ticket to Work program gives eligible SSDI and SSI recipients access to employment career support and counseling services such as job placement assistance and, if necessary, vocational rehabilitation. In addition, provides a wide variety of "work incentives" to make it easier for SSI and SSDI recipients to work while still receiving health care and cash benefits.

Individuals 60 and over may qualify for help with furnace repair. The program is usually administered in October from 8am-12pm; only a limited number of applicants will be accepted.

The death of a loved one to suicide can leave a huge void in one’s life. This group support network allows those who have lost a loved one to connect with others, offer advice, ask questions, and find hope and support. Each session features individual and group peer support, networking, resources, and information.

Hosts a food distribution twice a month.

UW 211 Greater Toledo

Provides a variety of training programs, from begining to advanced sewing and entrepreneurship, designed to train individuals for career level jobs in sewing. Program uses only organic cotton fabric and provides all materials. Participants are trained to use industrial sewing machines and learn principals of garment construction. Eligible students are paid a stipend during trainng and receive a new sewing machine upon completion of the program.
