Provides services for short-term emergency shelter assistance (motel vouchers), utility assistance (gas, electric, water), food pantry referral, job resources, housing assistance (rent), transportation expense assistance (new job before first paycheck only- within Wood County) and other temporary financial assistance.

BHP can provide motel stays for individuals seeking emergency shelter. Client does not need to be a current client of BHP, nor do they have to live in the county of Licking or Knox county.

Provides rent assistance, condo maintenance fees and lot rent (first month's rent, deposit, or eviction prevention when client has a three-day notice, court-ordered eviction or notice to leave premises due to landlord selling home). Also provides mortage assistance when payment is 90 days or more delinquent (delinquent interest and principal) to forestall foreclosure. Provides one (1) week hotel stay for homeless families unable to make a reservation at a homeless shelter. PRC total amount is $2,000.00.

Helps to meet a variety of unforseeable emergency needs for Veterans and dependent survivors. Provides food vouchers in emergency situations. May provide assistance wih rent, utility payments and mortgage payments. Assists with burial expenses for indigent Veterans. Will provide motel vouchers for homeless clients who need short-term temporary shelter (during the short-term placement, agency will connect the client to homeless services through Veterans Affairs).

Offers a maximum of $300 assistance (per year) in rent, utility bill (electric or gas), and prescriptions, based on availability of funding. Provides motel vouchers to transients within service area in need of emergency shelter, if funds are available. Assistance is available on a case-by-case basis.

Provides financial assistance for up to 2-nights of temporary lodging for emergency situations only. Funding is very limited and may not always be available. Does NOT operate an actual homeless shelter.

Offers hotel/motel assistance only when emergency shelter is full. This assistance is designed for individuals/families experiencing a housing crisis who have no other place to temporarily reside. Offers Homeless Prevention funds to be used to keep Preble County individuals/families experiencing a housing crisis (homelessness) related to non-payment of rent and at risk of homeless should financial assistance not be given. This is short term temporary financial assistance. Documentation is required for this assistance (utility disconnect letters, eviction letters). All funds are paid directly to landlords, utility provider, etc.

Provides food, clothing, household items. If funds are available and there is a verifiable need may provide other emergency assistance such as a motel room for homeless persons, utility disconnection prevention, and prescription assistance. Emergency funding is not guaranteed.

Helps those in need of monetary assistance with rent, utilities, prescriptions and emergency lodging (one night, two meals). Help is provided one time during the fiscal year of October 1st - September 30th per household.

Provides temporary financial assistance for gas, electric and water bills, birth certificate and ID fee payment, car repairs, gas vouchers for medical and job transportation, prescription medication, and vouchers for motel stays.
