Provides eligible households financial assistance, up to $500 if they are a customer of a regulated utility or $800 if they are a customer of an unregulated utility. The assistance is applied to their utility bill. Also provides indoor air quality and comfort assistance: Potentially up to $1,500 for central air conditioning repair. Residents who have not received an air conditioner from the program in the last three (3) years can request a unit. Electric box fans will also be distributed. Residents who have received air conditioners in the past three (3) years may be eligible for a fan. Distribution of air conditioners and fans will be subject to availability.

Provides client services for someone facing an unplanned pregnancy, Services are free and confidential and are tailored to help the client think through all options, including abortion, adoption, and parenting. Women's Center offers abortion alternatives including pregnancy tests and ultrasound to determined the fetus age and viability, and more. Offers free pregnancy test and assistance, free ultrasounds, post-abortion support group, and mentoring services. Also offers free material assistance, such as infant formula, diapers, infant needs etc. Quantities and ability to earn material assistance are determined by agency.

The Gleaning Place offers gently used linens, sheets, and bedding, very reasonably priced.

Electric Partnership Program helps to improve the electric efficiency of eligible households. Performs in-home audits and installs appropriate electric energy efficiency measures to reduce electric usage. Community Connections program provides and in-home engergy use evaluation and energy saving home improvements such as appliance testing and possible replacement and energy education. Energy efficiency kits containing LED light bulbs, night lights, smart strips and furnace whistles).

Thirft store that has clothing, household goods, kitchenware, and furniture for sale. Can donate clothing, household goods, kitchenware, and computers.

Depending on our rotating inventory, gently used beds, couches, recliners, tables & chairs, microwave stands, dressers, bookshelves, and other items may be available. We do NOT have appliances available.

Each week, volunteers put together bags of food items, depending on what is available that week. Items include canned goods, Peanut butter, cereal, eggs, pasta, bread, beans, boxed meal preparation kits, some meats and water. They also have toiletries, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent and clothing when available.

Collects and distributes donated furniture.

Provides food, clothing and household items, furniture and appliances when available; toys, coats, hats and gloves at Christmas time.

Provides assistance to improve energy efficiency of home and reduce energy costs. May be able to provide the following: * New energy efficient furnace * New hot water tank * Insulation * New refrigerator * Repair safety issues * LED lightbulbs

Tobacco cessation program to help pregnant women quit smoking and stay tobacco free after baby is born. Women who enroll in the program, quit smoking and remain tobacco free after the baby is born receive free diapers for 12 months (voucher to Walmart each month).

Provides donated clothing, linens, furniture and small appliances. Coats, shoes, and blankets may also be available, depending on donations received.

Builds new beds for children. Also, provides the mattress, sheets, pillow, and comforter or quilt.

Meets the needs of those unprepared for pregnancy with pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound, mentoring, parenting education, baby furniture, and clothing.

Provides support services such as: diapers, wipes, formula, baby cereal; blankets. Also: sleep sacks, blankets, clothing - these items are limited. Information is also provided on other resources available in the area.

Offers a free store where clients may browse for household items (such a table settings, silverware, lamps, small appliances and electronics, household tools, and linens). Note: Does not provide clothing.

Provides items that assist new and expecting parents in caring for their new family member. The bundle includes a choice of two: Boppy pillow, highchair, booster seat, portable crib, car seat, breastfeeding support kit, or safe sleep kit. Also provides up to $75 worth of diapers and up to $30 in organic baby food coupons.

There are a variety of items available at no cost through the Health Department. Families do have to be eligible and there is a limit to how much they can receive, but if anyone is in need of the following items, they can ask for the WIC department for more information. - Safety gates - High chairs - Pack-n-plays - Safety locks for cabinets, etc. - Outlet covers - Mesh guard rail covers - Door knob locks - Lights.

Program provided by Ohio Development Services Agency is designed to help qualified households pay for summer cooling. This program applies to electric utilities only and is available from July 1 through Sep. 30 and provides one-time payment assistance. This emergency assistance may be used to keep electricity connected and/or allow for the receipt of a window air-conditioning unit and/or fan. Air conditioners or fans may be available to qualifying households if they have not received an a/c unit or fn in the past 3 years. Maximum benefit amount is $350 for PUCO regulated electric companies and $400 for non-PUCO electric suppliers (Co-Op) applied as payment the household's electric bill. The cost of the a/c and/or fan must be factored in and cannot exceed the maximum total benefit after paying the electric bill for these households.

Program uses donations of in-kind material goods to supply basic items for daily living to low-income and impoverished individuals and families. Clients include those who have lost belongings because of house fires, medical issues, mental health issues , and drug/alcohol problems. Those who enter our "Just the Basics" program first meet with a case manager who identifies and verifies any needs. The case manager collaborates with the client to write and action plan that includes a self-sufficiency goal. Clients and case managers work together to determine a realistic level of independence at which to aim.

Limited supply of air conditioners available each year for residents with a respiratory diagnosis and a prescription from their physician. Air conditioners are helpful to those who have breathing problems during hot and/or humid weather. This service is available after May 1st of each year.. Residents are eligible who have not received one from us or Community Action in the last 3 years.

Provides a bed package for children. Includes wooden bed frame, mattress, sheets, blanket, and pillow. * Program funded by Orrville Area United Way in partnership with Salvation Army-Orrville.

Provides information and referral to Greene County residents to help identify and address youth and family issues in many areas and also has a food pantry

Offers Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP); Head Start; F.E.C.C. refrigerator replacement program; Community Action Transportation System (CATS); Senior Care program; monthly Senior lunches and computer classes.
