Provides a one hour safe-sleep class. At the end of the class, parents/caregivers are provided with a Graco Pack ‘n Play portable crib. Also offers a complete ‘Safe Sleep Survival Kit’, which contains a Halo Sleep Sack (wearable blanket with Back to Sleep message), a Pack n Play crib sheet, and a pacifier.

May assist with the purchase of bed frame, box springs, mattress, cribs and child beds ($500 maximum in 12 month period). Provides up to $2000 in moving expenses in certain cases (once per lifetime). In some cases may be able to help with home repair services (generally, only enough to cover a small repair). May consider assisting with other housing related needs at the discretion of the agency. Does not assist with PIPP Plus payments.

Winter Crisis/emergency Home Energy Assistance Program (E-HEAP/EHEAP) | Harcatus Tri-County Community Action Organization
Provides financial assistance to reconnect or maintain home heating services for eligible households once per heating season. Generally assists with a payment up to:
- $175 for PUCO regulated companies.
- $750 for non-PUCO regulated utilities (such as a municipal utility).
- $1,200 for those who use bulk fuel (oil, propane, kerosene, or bottled gas).
- $650 for coal, wood or solid fuels.
- $500 in heating unit repairs or replacements.
- Scheduling an appointment automatically places a 1-time hold on disconnection for REGULATED utilities until after the scheduled appointment date (unless a previous hold was placed on the customer's account). Customers are only allowed one (1) disconnection hold for an assistance appointment per Winter Crisis Program (WCP) season.
- Rescheduling removes the hold and possibly triggers loss of service.

Provides a rebate of up to $250 toward the installation of a new electric water heater in a home, office or other building which uses electricity from Darke Rural Electric Cooperative. A $250 rebate will be paid to the member on the basis of one rebate for each qualified unit installed that has a load management switch installed for Buckeye direct load management efforts. If there is an existing switch, a rebate of $200 will be paid to the member for the installation of a new water heater.

Supplies are limited. Ongoing clients may also receive assistance with formula and diapers. Offers life skills classes for parents.

- Rent or deposit for forestalling court-ordered evictions in rentals.
- Bills to forestall utility shutoffs (gas, electric and water).
- Fuel oil and propane purposes.
- Emergency shelter due to fire, natural disaster, states of emergency, or domestic violence situations.

- For a new kinship caregiver within six (6) months of a child moving into the home: Furniture and other items needs to care for children in the home.
- Once a child(ren) has been with a kinship provider for more than six (6) months: There is an available reimbursement of child care costs up to four (4) months a year.
