Provides financial assistance to low-income active United States military personnel (all branches of service) currently deployed overseas and to low-income post 9/11 Veterans with a wound, illness or injury received in the line of duty (LOD). Accepted reasons for financial assistance include mortgage assistance, rent assistance, home repairs, utility assistance, auto repairs, auto payments, travel and transportation, moving assistance, essential home items (mattresses and box springs and appliances such as washer, dryer, refrigerator, and stove), medical expense assistance, emergency dental assistance, critical baby items, and other financial assistance. Offers emergency financial assistance for critical baby items, food, and vision care to active duty service member with rank of rank E1-E6 with DEERS-eligible dependents. Note: Does NOT provide financial assistance for credit card debt or personal loans and does NOT assist with down payments for vehicles or homes.

Women’s Center–Dayton offers abortion alternatives including free pregnancy tests and ultrasound scans to those who qualify. Free and confidential consultations are provided to clients who are pregnant so can understand options: adoption, abortion, or parenting. Program provides a 24 hour helpline, free pregnancy test and assistance, free ultrasound, post-abortion support, information about abortion alternatives and mentoring services. Material assistance: free infant formula and diapers, baby and infant equipment. Quantities and ability to earn material assistance are determined by agency.

Offers diapers, personal care items, and household cleaning products to those in need. Supplies may be limited.

Assistance with home energy conservation. Will conduct energy inspection of heating appliances and insulation. Provides energy conservation information. Will weatherize home and provide for replacement of furnaces as funding is available. Will not replace roofs.

Offers low-cost new and gently used building items for home improvement or construction. Items offered vary depending on what has been donated and may include the following: - Bathtubs and faucets. - Cabinets and vanities. - Doors and doorbells. - Fireplace mantels. - Flooring. - Lighting fixtures. - Windows. - May also have furniture items such as tables, chairs, and lamps. Occasionally offers large appliances for resale. All items for sale have been donated from individuals and businesses. NOTE: Items cannot be returned.

Clients receive limited assistance with diapers, infant hygiene products, formula and baby food. Children's clothing newborn through 6X, maternity clothes, shoes, blankets and jackets. Serves clients once every 3 months.

Casey’s Cupboard is a free store for people who need assistance obtaining necessary household items. Casey’s Cupboard helps by providing new or gently used kitchen items (such as dishes, pots and pans, utensils, small appliances, etc.), and bathroom and bedroom linens.

Operates a non-profit building material reuse warehouse. Sells at a reduced cost new and used building materials donated by individuals, builders and stores. Items available depend on donations. Accepts donations of appliances, furniture, TVs, carpet, building supplies, tools, lawn care items and so forth. Note: Does not accept donations of clothing, mattresses, or box springs.

Provides a free store where shoppers can browse for clothing, linens, kitchenware (pots, pans, silverware, plates), as well as personal care items. Variety and availability of items will vary based on what has been donated.

Parent Infant Center helps parents cope with the day to day challenges of raising a family. The center provides assistance with formula, baby furniture and other material items.

Distributes new and used clothing, bedding, linens, and household items, free of charge, to those in need. Provides some new clothing for children, primarily socks, underwear, and gym shoes.

Provides care necessities to agencies and hospitals serving premature, ill or impoverished newborns.

Serves free hot lunch Monday through Friday and hot breakfast on Saturday.

Supplies pads and tampons to menstruating individuals though United Way of Greater Lorain's Change the Cycle Program.

Our neighborhood navigators help connect pregnant and postpartum women to valuable community resources to support them during pregnancy and up to one year after birth. Our goal is to help support a healthy birth outcome and ensure that infants make it to their first birthday. Our navigators help pregnant people connect to prenatal care and support through home visiting programs, referrals for mental health services, and access to support for smoking cessation and other substance misuse programs. Additionally, our navigators make sure expecting and postpartum mothers have everything they need to welcome their baby home by providing access to baby items, cribs, and other material goods to meet their needs. We also provide referrals to non-baby related resources, as we recognize that the health and well being of the mother can directly impact the health of the child. We can serve any pregnant mother living in Montgomery County, or any mother with an infant under one year of age. —

Provides assistance with material needs for moms and dads and caregivers who could use a helping hand as they provide for their little ones. A supplies boutique stocked with gently used and new baby items. Items supplied are diapers, wipes, clothing, formula, car seats, and cribs.

Provides a thrift store that sells new and gently-used furniture, appliances, home décor, and building supplies. Proceeds help build homes in the community for local families in need of decent, affordable housing.

Provides financial assistance for individuals and families who are currently homeless including rental assistance, deposits for security and utilities, emergency supplies of food, clothing, furniture, appliances, and other housing start-up items.
