The Summer Crisis Program provides air conditioning units one time every three years to prevent undue health risks during the summer season to eligible families. This program runs from July 1st through September 30th.
Pantry may have personal care items for grooming and cleaning available. Call first to verify availability. *Only one adult may shop for the family, no children are allowed in the shopping area *Clients may visit the pantry once a week

Provides aid to families in the form of a voucher to buy items or pay for emergency services related to establishing a household (coming out of homelessness or moving into a new unit) and which cannot be addressed using existing community resources. MAY BE USED FOR: stoves and refrigerators (maximum $200); baby furniture; children's beds/mattresses; general furniture (limited to: couch, love seat, living room chairs, kitchen table, bedroom dresser (up to $125); washer and/or dryer (only if integral to the applicant's employment); and microwave oven (maximum of $400 per item), and children's clothing (up to $150 per child). MAY NOT BE USED FOR: entertainment furniture (such as a TV or a radio), mortgage payments. YEARLY CASH LIMITS: $1,500 total during the calendar year (may be $750 for certain non-custodial parents).
Four household items per family per month are allowed. Housewares such as dishes, silverware, glasses, lamps, and more are available. Call for information and availability of item if there is a specific need. Arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to closing.
Assists with inspection and repair or replacement of heating unit, whole house diagnostic inspection, installation of insulation in attic and sidewalls, various energy saving procedures, information and referral to other programs.

The ReStore sells new and gently used appliances to the public at a reduced cost. All items are subject to availability.
Provides payment aid once per heating season to consumers who have been disconnected or received a shut-off notice, or service that needs started, or have 25% or less supply of bulk fuel (fuel oil or propane). To receive assistance, households served by a state-regulated utility must also sign up for a payment plan, such as the Percentage of Income Utility Plan (PIPP). Program can also pay for furnace repair and space heaters. Can also pay for furnace repair and space heaters through this program.

Provides a limited number of air conditioners that will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. This is an income based program, that requires proof of income, social security card, and birth certificate for verification. Persons 60 and older do not need to have Dr.'s statement but persons under 60 do need a statement, that their health would benefit from having air conditioning.
Provides financial assistance to reconnect or maintain home heating services for eligible households once per heating season. Generally assists with a payment up to: - $175 for PUCO regulated companies. - $750 for non-PUCO regulated utilities (such as a municipal utility). - $1,200 for those who use bulk fuel (oil, propane, kerosene, or bottled gas). - $650 for coal, wood, or solid fuels. - $500 in heating unit repairs or replacements. NOTE: Scheduling an appointment automatically places a 1-time hold on disconnection for REGULATED utilities until after the scheduled appointment date (unless a previous hold was placed on the customer's account). The appointment must be at least 48 hours before the scheduled disconnection. - Customers are only allowed one (1) disconnection hold for an assistance appointment per Winter Crisis Program (WCP) season. - Rescheduling removes the hold and possibly triggers loss of service.

The Furniture Bank of Central Ohio provides free furniture to people who are financially unable to afford their own furniture. The fee structure is different for those outside of their 16 mile radius service area, and they are able to deliver.

Provide Pack N Play portable cribs and Safe Sleep Survival Kits to families and caregivers that are unable to provide a safe sleep environment due to financial hardship. Survival Kit contains a sheet for the Pack N Play, a sleep sack for the infant, a bedtime storybook and educational materials for the parents. Family must come to the Board of Health office to pick up Pack N Play and receive instruction on proper assembly and use before taking Pack N Play home.
