Customer and Billing service center for the Water, Sewer and Sanitation Departments. The office processes applications for water or sewer service, processes payments, responds to customer inquiries, maintains both water and sewer system records, etc.

The Cambridge Utilities Office is in charge of service sign-ins, sign-outs, billings, and collections for water and sewer service to areas connected to Cambridge Water & Sewer. The area served is divided into zones, with each zone billed quarterly. One zone is read and billed each month. Rates are available upon request.

Responds to reports of downed power lines, power blackouts or safety hazard conditions, such as downed wires that may be sparking or near water, downed poles or trees that have fallen on power lines. Responsible for repair of downed poles and wires, damaged electric meters, and damaged wires that go from the transformer to the weatherhead.

Provides information for the billing and revenue collection for water and sanitary sewer services. Also offers maintenance and repair of meters and water and sewer lines.

Offers Medical Certification Program which delays a shutoff, or restores service, when it would be life threatening or especially dangerous to the health of a permanent member of the houshold.

Replacement of analog water meters with smart meters across residences and businesses. Customers will receive their first notice to schedule one month before work begins in their neighborhood.All City of Toledo water customers are required to provide access to their water meter for this mandatory water meter service. Workers may need to shut the curb valve off through a small hole in the yard if inside valve is unable to be shut off and be able to do the work with the water shut off to the home. Things to know about your appointment: Appointments will take 60 minutes. An adult (18 or older) must be home. Water will be shut off during installation. Clear path to the meter must be accessible. All pets must be secured.

Offers a program that prioritizes the restoration of services when there is a power outage to customers where lack of service would be life-threatening or especially dangerous to the health of a permanent member of the household.
