Considers cases where tax foreclosure was not filed by the County Treasurer; pre-tax foreclosure where foreclosure has been threatened but not filed yet.

Provides guidance through HUD approved counselors for people who are unable to make their mortgage payments and are at risk of losing their homes through foreclosure or who are already in the foreclosure process. Counselors can assist with assessing the situation, identifying and compiling necessary documentation, developing a debt-management plan, researching refinance opportunities, and facilitating intervention with lenders when appropriate.
