Dispatches officers to the scene of incidents where citizens need non emergency assistance (call 937-433-7661). Also investigates crimes and reports of missing persons, fingerprints arrestees, and investigates incidents of alleged police misconduct.

Provides a wide variety of crime prevention and safety education services for the City of Lyndhurst. Covers topics such as fraud prevention, child abuse prevention, child passenger safety, child sexual assault prevention, violence and general crime prevention, elder abuse prevention, gangs, hate crimes, juvenile delinquency, pedestrian and personal safety, school safety, spousal abuse prevention, substance abuse, and sexual harassment prevention. Offers vacation security checks, neighborhood watch programs, and security evaluations for businesses.

Provides a variety of crime prevention programs including: security surveys of businesses and residences, personal safety information, organization of watch groups, children's safety, and drug awareness programs, speakers on related topics, etc.

Trains professionals on the topic of trauma, trauma & addictions.

Offers an instructional course for seniors about crime prevention, self-defense, traffic laws, elderly abuse, crimes against seniors, the criminal justice system, and the history of the Solon Police Department. Includes a tour of the police department.

Provides a wide range of programs for children who are victims of abuse or other acts of violence; services include the following: * forensic interviews at a child-friendly site where professionals conduct joint investigative interviews with child victims * crisis counseling and case management for victims and non-offending family members (available to children and families at all stages of the investigation and prosecution process); the program helps children and families cope and heal emotionally * animal-assisted therapy support for victims of violence * Provides practical information and support to the children and family about the investigation and court process * offers Safety Education which teaches young children about safe and unsafe touches and ways to seek help from trusted adults * offers on-site medical exams
