Provides practical information and support to the children and family about the investigation and court process, safety education that teaches young children about safe and unsafe touches and ways to seek help from trusted adults, and also provides on-site medical exams.

Seeks also to prevent abuse within families who may be at risk due to a variety of stressors including: large family size, teenage single parenting, financial problems, drug problems, special needs children, etc. Teaches how to deal with child and parent anger issues, to handle conflicts and manage stress, to recognize cues from children and address their needs, to administer reward and punishment, and to build better communication among family members.

Provides programs on ways to avoid or handle abusive or potentially abusive situations.

Teaches behaviors necessary to maintain a non-violent lifestyle to individuals with a history of domestic violence offenses. Offers individual assessment and counseling for women and youth. Provides assessment and group counseling for men. Works with offenders on accountability, exploring patterns of abuse and identifying barriers that prevent healthy relationships.

Provides information and prevention programs on the topic of rape, sexual assault, and domestic violence.

Provides school-based educational programs to address issues concerning substance abuse, suicide, and problem gambling prevention. Adult parent programs, Mental Health First Aid, programs for older adults, Crisis Response Team, and Suicide/Drug Coalitions.

Members come together to facilitate the prevention and treatment of elder abuse, neglect and exploitation through study, networking, advocacy and public education. Topics include social policy, clinical practice, community education, conference planning, and other networking opportunities.

Provides cognitive behavioral sessions that teach skills to cope with anger and misguided violence and to develop nonviolent alternatives for dealing with conflict. May be used to fulfill court requirements.

Offers a speaker's bureau to educate the community about inappropriate behavior (including that of family members and friends) as well as general safety issues, sexual offenses, abuse, and abduction.
