Provides a specialized advocate to assist survivors of domestic violence as they proceed through the criminal justice system. Advocates do not work for the state, the city, the county, or the police department and are therefore not obligated to disclose any information shared by a survivor. Will provide support and accompaniment to meetings and court proceedings.

Offers assistance in dealing with the justice system to victims of domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault or related crimes. Acts as intake for all restraining orders in Portage County. Will help the victim fill out and file any necessary paperwork and will accompany the victim to all legal proceedings.

Provides court advocacy to victims and witnesses of misdemeanor crimes. Provides information and explanation of the criminal justice system, court escort and preparation assistance with crime victims compensation. 24 hours crisis response and referral to other human service agencies.

Offers 24 hour response to hospital, police, and personal request for assistance in cases of felony crime with specialized services for sexual assault and child sexual abuse victims and homicide survivors. Provides short term crisis counseling for crime victims and witnesses regardless of intent to pursue criminal prosecution; personal advocacy and court escort during all stages of the police investigation and criminal justice process; case status notification for felony level prosecution pending in Greene County Common Pleas Court and Greene County Juvenile Court. Confidential referrals within a large resource network, to any appropriate medical, counseling, or social service agency. Also provides assistance to persons applying for financial reimbursement through the Ohio Victims of Crime Compensation Program.

Provide telephone crisis intervention services for people who are survivors of rape, incest and other forms of sexual assault. Services include steps to ensure the individual's safety, short-term emotional support, information regarding the person's rights and alternatives, and referrals and/or accompaniment to resources for medical, legal and emotional needs, advocacy and other related services.

Provides rape crisis services including a 24-hour hotline, advocacy for both teenagers and adults during legal proceedings, short-term crisis intervention, support groups, referrals for counseling, and community education on bystander intervention. Services for victims of human trafficking are also available. All services are confidential.
