The program offers assistance to crime victims and witnesses, and provides advocacy services to adult or child victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse and to the famiies of homicide victims.
Provides emotional support for youth victims and survivors through the juvenile court process.
Provides comprehensive medical services and resources for children who have been sexually abused, physically abused, witnessed violence, or was a victim of human trafficking. Services include the following: * Forensice interview. Recorded and shared with appropriate professionals, such as law enforcement, Children Services, prosecutor, physician, etc. * Sexual assault medical exam on site, with pediatric SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) nurse. All exams reviewed by Dr. Paul McPherson from Akron Children's Hospital. * Case Manager provides victim's advocacy, with referrals and information to additional community resources.
