Provides benefits screening and forms assistance for several government assistance programs (Food Stamps (SNAP), Medicaid, etc.). NOTE: does not help with unemployment. Provides particular focus on signing households up for food stamps (SNAP/Food Assistance). Trained phone staff takes information from the client in order to fill out applications for many programs at once. Applications can be completed and submitted over the phone. Also provides food pantry referrals to the agency's food partner sites in its 5-county service area. Also helps families sign up for the Senior Commodity Box Program.

Child Support - Support Orders, Modification, And Enforcement | Cuyahoga County Job And Family Services

Establishes and enforces court orders requiring support for unmarried adults (can be a child support order or alimony). Assists all recipients (unmarried juveniles or adults, or divorced persons) who may need modification of a support order. Takes whatever court or administrative actions are legally available and necessary to achieve compliance with court orders for child or spousal support. May include filing motions, attachment of wages, seizing assets, professional license revocation, prosecution under felony criminal non-support laws, and other actions as required. Ohio law allows that either parent may request a review and modification of the support order every 36 months or earlier if either parent has been unemployed at no fault of their own for 30 consecutive days, experienced at least a 30% change in income (beyond their control) for a period of six months, or becomes permanently disabled.
