Assisting in filing claims for benefits administered by Veterans Affairs (VA);
Assessment of needs. Teach, practice monitor skills and connect individuals to available community resources. Activities of Daily Living: personal hygeine, medication management and monitoring, school functioning and care coordination. Individual bases services provided at this time: behavior management, impulse control, focus, attention, following rules, responsibility, communication, frustration tolerance. Social and emotional learning: bullying, conflict resolution, problem solving, friends, social media safety, boundary setting, coping skills, anger management strategies, grief education, managing time, boredom, distressing thoughts and feelings, sibling relationships. Independent Living Skills: job searching skills, resume formulation education, interview role play, advocating for one's needs, learning and navigating community resources.

Provides assistance in dealing with the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). The VSC Service Officers represents and assists veterans, spouses, dependent children, surviving widows, and parents of deceased veterans for benefits when they apply to the VA

Provides Veterans and their dependents United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) accredited Veterans Service Officers (VSOs) to assist them in understanding VA benefits and in filing claims. Provides services such as explaining benefits, filling out forms, forwarding claims for processing and representing Veterans in appeals. Provides case management to Veterans, helping them screen and file for federal, state and county veterans' benefits. Callers will be referred to the county Job and Family Services office for assistance with unemployment forms.
Provides state and nationally trained and accredited Veterans Service Officers ready to assist you. We are happy to answer your questions and assist you in filing your claims and paperwork. Can also issue a State of Ohio Veterans Honorably Discharged Identification Card.

Provides assistance in dealing with the Department of Veteran Affairs. VSC Service Officers represent and assist veterans, spouses, dependent children, surviving widows, and parents of deceased veterans for benefits when they apply to the VA. Provides assistance in locating and obtaining military service discharge papers (DD 214), completing applications to obtain birth, marriage, and death certificates, and offering referrals to counseling services.
Direct Aid Program provides veterans and their families up to $200 per veteran per year in states they are registered in. Direct aid needs addressed have included, but are not limited to rent, utilities, shelter, auto repair, food, clothing and relocation. VO Depot is a thrift store that benefits veterans financial services. Veterans get 20% off every day and veterans in need can obtain vouchers that allow them to shop for free. Freedom Food Pantry Program provides fresh foods and non-perishables to veterans. The Outreach Program Works with veterans to help them find employment either through outside employers or agencies they are associated with or through the Outreach Program. Provide support to other agencies that work to enhance veterans lives. Assist WWII veterans and their families with registration for the National WWII Memorial.

Provides accredited service officers who know the requirements of the Department of Veterans Affairs compensation and pension programs, and who will assist Veterans to complete paperwork and obtain the benefits to which they are entitled. Will aid with the preparation of forms, documentation of claims, proper submission of claims to VA and other follow-up agencies, and obtaining records (military and medical).
