Provides help with lawsuits arising from credit disputes, civil actions, and home foreclosures. Assists with the preparation of simple wills and assistance with some probate matters. Does not assist in criminal cases where a public defender or private lawyer will handle the case (most cases in common pleas court or municipal courts), unless its related to a Motion to seal or "expunge" or a motion to vacate capias (vacate an outstanding arrest warrant). Does not represent individuals in the following types of cases: civil litigation, workers comp, bankruptcy, eviction, divorce/dissolution/child support, and/or administrative appeals.

Administers the probate estate of a deceased person. Determines the value of the estate's assets and then distributes to persons entitled to them by will or law. Processes applications regarding estates and trusts. The purpose of a probate estate is to protect and conserve assets, provide for the payment of outstanding debts and taxes, and distribution of assets to persons entitled to them by will or law. Estates with and without wills are probated. In some circumstances, probate is not needed, such as with survivorship tenancy and joint and survivorship property. Administers trusts in wills only, not living trusts.

Ensures that the assets of a deceased person are collected, maintained, and properly distributed among their heirs, beneficiaries, and or creditors according to the will of the decedent and the laws of the State of Ohio. Ordinarily, the average estate should be finalized within six months of the date of appointment of the fiduciary. However, where litigation, federal or state tax returns, or creditor disputes exist, the estate may require a longer administration.

Advice, document preparation, and representation may be available in limited probate matters involving estates of small value (including transfers on death and necessary releases of administration).
