Community volunteers assist victims of domestic violence through the process of securing a civil protection order through domestic relations court; makes referrals for food, shelter, clothing or other assistance.

Provides a variety of social and recreational activities, transportation, and social services for seniors. Also, provides outreach services, including assistance with filling out forms. On site the Center offers Blood Pressure Checks, legal counseling, and a benefit bank. Social and recreational activities may include social meetings, craft classes, line dancing, cards, trips, yoga and exercise classes. Offers information and referral to governmental and community resources.

The Montgomery County Clerk of Courts Help Center is a free walk-in center established to increase access to justice by providing self-represented litigants and others with information and connections to programs and resources to help them become better equipped to understand their legal issues and navigate the court system. Legal information includes court forms, tools to help you complete forms, and answers to general questions about court procedures. Has brochures on other human services in the area.

Assists agricultural workers with governmental procedures related to immigration laws, recovery of unpaid wages, violations of farm worker protection laws, the application for and denial of public benefits, housing evictions, and a variety of consumer issues. Advocates not only work to resolve a clients immediate problem, but also provide education on the legal process and their rights and obligations. Service is limited by availability of staff and funding. There is no guarantee that a lawyer will be available to take a client's case.

Provides a court appointed attorney to defendants when they are determined to be indigent.

Provides legal assistance with filing bankruptcies, cases involving debt collectors, garnishments and repossessions, student loan discharge and collection issues, credit reporting problems, auto purchase and loan problems, payday loans and other lending issues. Also handles a variety of civil issues for those who meet eligibility requirements.

Provides civil legal services to low income people in Pickaway County in various areas including domestic, foreclosure, housing, consumer, public benefits and IRS tax disputes. Clients receive assistance in person by appointments and by telephone.

Can provide defense in limited criminal matters including vacating pending traffic violations, managing misdemeanors, or dealing with probation or low-level felony warrants. Provides help with sealing of criminal records/expungement (and in some cases may be able to lessen or remove some penalties). Provides help with lawsuits arising from credit disputes, civil actions, and home foreclosures. Assists with the preparation of simple wills and assistance with some probate matters. Does not assist in criminal cases where a public defender or private lawyer will handle the case (most cases in common pleas court or municipal courts), unless its related to a Motion to seal or "expunge" or a motion to vacate capias (vacate an outstanding arrest warrant). Does not represent individuals in the following types of cases: civil litigation, workers comp, bankruptcy, eviction, divorce/dissolution/child support, and/or administrative appeals.

Provides a free legal clinic for LGBTQ+ people. Some of the legal area that are included are consumer law (such as fraud and identity theft), family law, civil rights, and administrative assistance (such as SSI or disability). Legal representation for LGBTQ+ individuals within 300% of the Federal Policy Guidelines via Clinic staff alongside an Attorney Referral Network. The Clinic also hosts regular clinics and trainings in partnership with agencies across the state.

Provides advocacy and support to tenants throughout Ohio. Offers information on rental rights, fair housing, housing advocacy and tenant organizing. Also provides tenants legal advice concerning landlord/tenant issues. Primary focus is on tenants living in federally assisted housing (Project-based Section 8, Low Income Housing Tax Credits and Rural Housing Service 515 properties), but staff will try to be of service to any Ohioan with questions about their housing rights.
