Provides no-cost car seats through the Ohio Department of Health's "Ohio Buckles Buckeyes" program. Has convertible seats for ages 6 months up to 5 years old, and booster seats for ages 5 to 8 years old. NO INFANT CAR SEATS. Provides inspections of child car seats for recall, proper fit for the child and proper installation in the car.

Provides eligible families with concrete-safety related support items up to $200. This could include the following: Full size cribs, toddler beds, mattresses, strollers, convertible high-chairs, temporal thermometers, baby monitors, baby gates, childproofing home safety kits, and smoke/carbon monoxide alarms. Includes infant and child safety education on various topics, such as infant safe sleep guidelines, in-home safety recommendations and car seat best-practice training.

Safe Communities is a program developed by the Ohio Department of Public Safety and is provided in Licking County through the health department, local law enforcement, and businesses. Program is designed to increase safety belt use, motorcycle safety and awareness, decrease impaired driving and to decrease fatal crashes. Educational materials are also available on these topics.

Provides information and speakers on crime prevention topics such as bicycle safety, shoplifting prevention, and school safety. Maintains a neighborhood watch program. Upon request, will perform vacation security checks for residents and security evaluations for businesses.

Offers a variety of law enforcement and crime prevention education services for the City of Beachwood. Provides safety and prevention information on issues such as general crime prevention, pedestrian safety, personal safety, school safety, elder abuse prevention, violence prevention, shoplifting prevention, and fraud prevention. Provides general crime prevention, safety information, child passenger safety for the Village of Bentleyville. Offers vacation security checks of residents' homes.

Federally funded program designed to help income-eligible Ohioans with their winter heating bills. The program runs from July 1 to March 31.

The Licking County Sheriff’s Deputies will operate a CarFit drive-through for older adult participants to ensure their vehicle is best “fit” for maximum comfort and safety. This free CarFit check takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. All participants can look forward to be entered into a drawing for a 1 year AAA membership, and a complimentary bagged lunch.

Free car safety seat inspections by a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician.

Offers a series of classes on bicycle safety related topics. Classes are interactive and designed to increase participants' interest in bicycling as well as learning how to cycle safely, what traffic safety laws apply, and bicycle maintenance. Refreshments and snacks may be available.
