Nationally Certified Carseat Technicians will provide hands-on education to ANY community member and check that your car seat is installed correctly. Also offers FREE car seats to those within specific income guidelines and/or who are WIC and/or SNAP eligible.

Child friendly facility that brings together professionals from law enforcement, child protective services, medicine, mental health, victim's advocacy, and the prosecutor's office to work together in determining if a child has been physically or sexually abused and in providing a coordinated response.

Provides baby furniture and accessories including car seats, strollers, cribs, mattresses, playpens, highchairs, baby gates, bathtubs, and potty chairs. This service is based on the availability of donated items.

Provides comprehensive home visiting services in Defiance, Fulton, Henry, and Williams counties. This service is for pregnant women and families with children up to age 3 who are income eligible.

Provides a program of classes that cover pregnancy-related topics such as pregnancy, baby care, discipline, and relationships. Participants earn credits they can use for items available by the agency, including car seats, cribs, diapers, formula and others.

Provide Pack N Play portable cribs and Safe Sleep Survival Kits to families and caregivers that are unable to provide a safe sleep environment due to financial hardship. Survival Kit contains a sheet for the Pack N Play, a sleep sack for the infant, a bedtime storybook and educational materials for the parents. Family must come to the Board of Health office to pick up Pack N Play and receive instruction on proper assembly and use before taking Pack N Play home.

Provides free convertible car seats.

Offers full pediatric office visits for well and sick care. Offer an array of services for children including physical exams, immunizations, vision & hearing testing, developmental screening, autism screening, nutrition screening, dental assessment, referral information, social services assesments. Also offer car seats when available.

Offers free pregnancy testing and ultrasounds. Earn While You Learn class "Understanding Pregnancy." Free new baby merchandise, for example onesies, bottles, sleepers, handmade blankets, diapers & wipes. Complete all 5 sessions receive a car seat or stroller.

Distributes discounted child passenger safety seats to income eligible families. Conducts inspections which offer guidance regarding child passenger safety seats and the law, choosing a car seat that is appropriate for a particular child's height and weight, correct car seat installation and restraining a child in a car seat. Also offers The Car Seat Basics online class to any interested individual.

The bundle includes a choice of two: Boppy pillow, highchair, booster seat, portable crib, car seat, breastfeeding support kit, or safe sleep kit. Also provides up to $75 worth of diapers and up to $30 in organic baby food coupons.

Provides maternity and baby/children's clothing (sizes 0 to 5T) for clients. Also offers items for infants such as cribs, pack-n-plays, care seats/boosters, and high chairs. Requires program participation to earn credits to receive items.

The goals of the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Division are to eliminate health disparities, improve birth outcomes, and improve the health status of Licking County’s women, infants, children, youth and families. MCH Priorities: - Decreasing childhood obesity, reducing food insecurity, and supporting breastfeeding; - Decreasing infant mortality by ensuring infants have a safe sleep environment and car safety seats; - Increasing parenting skills, promoting early childhood development and school readiness; - Providing referrals to safety net services assure that the health needs of women and children are met; - Addressing social determinants of health; - Free transportation to medical appointments - LCHD has partnered with Uber to help women get a free ride to their next medical appointment. Safe Kids Ohio is led by Akron Children's Hospital, which provides dedicated and caring staff, operation support and other resources to assist in achieving our common goal: keeping your kids safe. Based on the needs of the community, this coalition implements evidence-based programs, such as car-seat checkups, safety workshops and sports clinics, that help parents and caregivers prevent childhood injuries.
