Provides assistance to low-income individuals who need mobility equipment such as prostheses, wheelchairs, van lifts, minor home and vehicle modifications for handicap accessibility (including walk-in showers, not walk-in bathtubs), and ramps. May also provide assistive computer technology.

The support group meets in Mercy Memorial Hospital's main floor conference room, 904 Scioto St.,Urbana. Can sometimes help with co-pays and prosthetics related to breast cancer.

Provides products such as wigs, hairpieces, hats, turbans, breast forms, mastectomy bras and mastectomy swimwear.

Offers medical equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, stair and chair lifts and shower/bath seats, compression garments, orthopedic braces and more.

Low cost wigs are available to those living with a cancer diagnosis.

Provides resources for cancer patients, including: * Nutrition supplements (Boost, Boost Pudding, Boost Glucose Control, Ensure, Ensure Clear, Pedialyte) * Transportation and mileage reimbursement * Prescription assistance * Medical supplies and equipment (Medical equipment includes items such as wheelchairs, walkers, bedside commodes, shower benches, raised toilet seats, electric beds, and more. Medical supplies include such items as dressings, tapes, latex gloves, ostomy supplies, bed pads, pull-ups, briefs, and chux.) * Adapted clothing items (wigs, mastectomy items, zip tees, chemo hats) * One-time financial assistance with rent, utilities, or childcare for those with qualifying income

Maintains a supply of medical equipment for short-term loan. Equipment available for loan varies and includes such items as wheelchairs, canes, walkers, crutches and shower seats.

Provides acute rehabilitation services a 44 bed inpatient rehab unit as well as outpatient services. Offers physical, occupational, speech, vocational, and recreational therapies.

Provides medical supplies and equipment, food and nutritional supplements, medication financial assistance and wigs, turbans and breast prostheses.

Provides custom-fitted artificial limbs for patients that need them to live a productive life. Designs and other features are made available based on individuals situations and needs.

The Wig and Mastectomy Boutique offers cancer patients wigs, Zip tees, mastectomy bras, turbans, hats, and personal care items in a comfortable, private atmosphere.

Provides a free synthetic wig for women with cancer related hair loss.

Offers hairpieces for children who are suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. Each hairpiece is made from real human hair and arrives long so recipients may style it to fit their faces. The hairpiece forms a vacuum seal, like a suction cup, and does not require the use of tape or glue. Only the wearer of the hairpiece may remove it, by breaking the vacuum seal at the temples.

Provides new wigs to anyone in need of a wig due to cancer. Also provides additional support to cancer survivors.

Provides hair replacement systems, made of natural human hair to children who have lost their hair as a result of medical circumstances.

Provides adaptive and medical equipment for those persons who are disabled and in need. Items available vary, but will generally have walkers, wheelchairs (power and manual), toilet seats, bedside commodes, incontinence supplies (adult diapers, bedding protection, etc.), glucose monitors, crutches, 4-prong canes and bath seats. Items can be borrowed for as long as an individual may need the item. Return of item(s) is encouraged; however, not required.

After insurance and other benefit payments, CACC assists patients with expenses up to the current monthly limits. Some of the types of items covered include:

Provides hairpieces and wigs made from human or synthetic hair for youth with permanent or temporary medical hair loss due to a health condition such as alopecia, cancer, or burns.

Provides wigs at no cost to women with cancer related hair loss.

Provides an assistive equipment placement program for individuals with spinal cord injuries. Equipment, such as wheelchairs and medical supplies,can be picked up from their storage unit located in Parma, OH, based on the types of donations that are available.

Provides adaptive equipment to aid in mobility and daily tasks; provides custom-designed artificial limbs to those who need them. Provides durable medical equipment (hospital beds, lifts, etc.). Provides home modifications to make the home more accessible such as: ramp installation, lowered counters, widened doors, and accessible bathroom features.

Provides a new, free wig for cancer patients who are in active treatment and residing in the area.

Provides financial assistance for fully-functional lower limb prosthetics to qualified applicants. Payment is made directly to the supplier, not the client. Also accepts donations of prosthetic parts and distributes them to individuals overseas. Donated items are never resold.
