Provides comprehensive vision care to uninsured and underinsured individuals of all ages in Ohio. Services offered include vision care education, free eye examinations and free eyeglasses, and financial resources for ophthalmological care. Must meet the qualification process. Note: Program assists with eyeglasses but not with contact lenses.

Provides eye screening and eye examinations for youth enrolled in the school district. Will also provide eye glasses if indicated by the screening. Done in conjunction with Cleveland Clinic.

Acts as a resource of assistive technology and devices for people with vision impairment in southwest Ohio.

The Prevent Blindness Vision Care Outreach (VCO) Program provides comprehensive vision care to uninsured and underinsured adults and children in Ohio. Services offered include vision care education, eye examinations, eyeglasses and financial resources for ophthalmological care. Additional services include adult vision training and adult vision screening programs, educational curricula and brochures, research, and advocacy for public health issues relating to vision and blindness.

Offers recorded books, brailled books, books specifically for the reading disabled, audio output aides, and voice recorded devices.

Accepts donations of used, medical equipment that is no longer needed from a variety of sources such as private citizens, nursing homes, independent living facilities, rehab facilities, etc. ACIL turns over ownership of this useable equipment to individuals who are not eligible to obtain the equipment through Medicaid or Medicare, do not have insurance and cannot afford the equipment. Donations are accepted to help ACIL continue to operate the REDI program.

Offers a variety of assistive technology equipment, computers, computer peripherals, and software for loan, which includes orientation of the disabled person to the use of computer technology. Also has adapted toys for loan. Offers access to well stocked print and video media library on available assistive technology, How-To videos on using adaptive equipment in education and on the job, as well as some instructional tapes on specific equipment.

Provides eye exams and eyeglasses for individuals without any form of insurance (public or private).

Provides eye exams and glasses to individuals who have no insurance or cannot afford to pay for eye care. Does not provide contact lenses.

Provides assistance with obtaining comprehensive eye examinations and eyeglasses.

Offers immunization clinics, as well as satellite immunization clinics; childbirth education classes; nursing services that include blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, and pregnancy testing; health education programs; STD clinics; anonymous and confidential HIV testing; breast pump rentals; breast feeding consultations by certified lactation specialists; flu shots during the fall.

Provides referrals for free eye exams and glasses for Lucas County seniors

Provides free eye exams and glasses to all children and their family who qualify. Additional services include preschool vision training and preschool screening programs, educational curricula and brochures, research, and advocacy for public health issues relating to vision and blindness.

Helps provide free eyeglasses to the needy in Mansfield and Ontario area. Also collects glasses for under-developed countries.
