The seating team outfits and customizes wheelchairs and other seating devices, building in growth potential to all seating systems. Service includes referrals to vendors who provide the needed seating systems.

Provides training that enables people with disabilities to use computers and other assistive technology. Training includes the use of adaptive software, hardware, and equipment. Focus is overcoming barriers to employment.

Evaluates patients with communication disorders (those who have never spoken or who have lost their ability to speak) and devises augmentative communication systems that may include computers, accessing equipment, adaptive switches, environmental controls, and clinical software. Each system is personalized to fit the user's communication needs and physical abilities. Service includes a lending library of devices that patients may borrow to try before ordering.

Assist in purchases and use of TTY and assistive listening devices. Also provides hearing screenings for preschool to school age children.
