A specialist works with participants to use information about their diagnoses to make a plan to deal with crises that come up, to give direction to others working with them about what they may need while in crisis, and to know and use tools to develop mental health wellness over the long term.

Participants sit through a short class to learn best practices such as placing the infant on its back to sleep in an empty crib and not sharing a bed with the infant.
