Mycare Ohio | Ombudsmans Office

Provides enrollment counseling for MyCare Ohio, Ohio's Integrated Care Delivery System (ICDS) administered by the Ohio Dept of Medicaid. MyCare Ohio is a managed care plan selected by the state of Ohio to coordinate the physical, behavioral and long-term care services for individuals who are eligible for both Medicaid and Medicare. Enrollment is mandatory for people who are 18 or older, reside in Ohio and currently receive services from both Medicaid and Medicare.

Provides health insurance program that provides hospital and medical insurance for individuals age 65 and older, disabled individuals younger than age 65 who have been entitled to Social Security disability benefits for at least 24 months, and insured workers and their dependents who need dialysis or a kidney transplant may qualify. -Persons who apply for Social Security benefits at age 65 are automatically enrolled in Medicare Part A (free hospital insurance). They may choose to sign up for Medicare Part B (medical insurance).
