Accepts applications and distributes benefits for the State of Kentucky administered Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program. The program assists eligible low-income individuals and families with purchasing food items by loading funds onto an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card on a monthly basis.

WIC provides nutrition screening, nutrition education and supplemental foods and referrals for women (pregnant, postpartum and breast-feeding), infants, women and children up to five years of age. (Infants and children must meet current income guidelines.) Satellite Clinics available in Buckeye Lake, Johnstown and Pataskala.

Arranges transportation for Medicaid clients to and from Medicaid-covered services.

Open to women who are pregnant or have given birth within the past six months, breastfeeding women up to one year after giving birth, and infants and children up to five years old.

Ohio utilizes the Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) Program to administer food stamp distribution. Eligible families receive an electronic card with a dollar credit equal to the maximum monthly benefits based on family income, family size, and other eligibility criteria. Families/individuals use the EBT card at participating stores. The family/individual is able to add credit to the card each month for basic food items to support the household.

The Ohio Direction Card (EBT Card) is an electronic debit card that replaced food assistance coupons. The card can be used to purchase food products for human consumption at participating stores. - Those who are homeless or have zero (0) income may be eligible for one (1) month expedited benefit within 24 hours. - Benefits that are not used in a month may be carried over to the next month, up to one (1) year.

Brief Screenings for height, weight and blood iron testing are also used to determine nutritional health risks and from that foods are tailored to each participant’s needs and likes.
