Columbus Recreation and Parks will be hosting holiday events throughout December providing free meals and resources. Please call the phone number of your local community center to confirm registration/attendance as well as the type of resources offered. Possible resources include toys and/or gift cards.

Provide Christmas eve turkey dinner and all the fixing for a five star meal will be served at 830 West Main Street, Springfield. On Christmas Eve, the 24th of December in partnership with Greater Grace Temple, a Safe Place will be available with brunch and snacks from 10 am - 5 pm. The Springfield Soup Kitchen offers during wind chill temperatures are expected to be subzero so Springfield Soup Kitchen will act as warming center from 10 am - 5pm on Christmas Eve.

Provides holiday toys for children 12 and under. Families must register to receive toys. At time of registration, clients will receive date/time pick-up appointment.

Provides boxes of food at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Provide services including a food pantry, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, nutrition classes, preventative health screenings, legal and immigration consultations and referrals, and comprehensive case management. To help the Hispanic community eliminate barriers to employment stability, counselors work with individuals to assess job skills and potentials, provide 30+ hours of classroom education to build job interviewing/application skills and better understand American workplace expectations, help in job placement, and provide follow-up/job retention support. Services also include English as a Second Language (ESL) and career development counseling.

Holiday Christmas signup at Community Center in Urbana for families with children and Senior Citizens. Children up to 17 years of age and seniors over 60 years old. Signing ups are at the Champaign County Community Center at 1512 S. US HWY 68 Urbana, OH.

Accepts new donations of diapers, baby wipes, formula, food (including fresh produce), personal hygiene products, toiletries, household cleaning products, detergents, holiday items, and other food resources.

Assists with gifts for children through the age of 12 for Christmas

Provides items for a Thanksgiving dinner as part of the agency's regular food distribution..

Offering breakfast, holiday crafts, and other holiday activities for families with children. Santa will be in attendance and available for photos. Information on various community resources will be available.

Accepts food donations. During the holidays, seeks ham, turkey and pantry items to provide a meal.

Provides a shelf-stable box of food and meat to those in emergency need. - On Wednesdays offers food, with meat and produce when available, for individuals and families in need. Supplies pads and tampons to menstruating individuals though United Way of Greater Lorain's Change the Cycle Program.

Collects new toys for children up to age 14 and food for distribution to families in need. Salvation Army of Elyria selects the recipient families.

Holiday assistance with $50 gift cards is available to eligible veterans and/or their families. If an individual/family received a gift card in November, they are ineligible to receive a gift card in December.

Provides a sit-down and carry-out Thanksgiving dinner. Home delivery in the city of Chillicothe may also be available.

Local chapter for the Toys for Tots program. Their goal is to collect new, unwrapped toys for needy children of Ashtabula County.

Applications are taken online until November 25, 2020.

Offers various opportunities to provide gifts and items for children, older adults, and families during the holiday season. Donors are able to select from a variety of different holiday options such as Family Care Baskets, Senior Care Boxes, Adopt A Child, and other collection opportunities.

Accepts monetary donations towards the work of the Salvation Army in Summit County including holiday programs.

A program where parents choose gifts for their children while giving back to the community through volunteering or other contributions.

Offers opportunities for donors to "adopt" a child or children for the Christmas holiday season. Accepts grocery, food, gas, and department store gift cards for distribution to families in need. NOTE: Does not accept requests for holiday gift/toys assistance from the public. Also accepts monetary donations for the Beds for Kids program, a program for Summit County Children Services clients. Does not accept gently used items of any kind.
