Provides education regarding the effects on children of witnessing violence and substance abuse, as well as parenting skill development for those with children in these situations. Topics include the impact of violence on child development, characteristics of children who have witnessed violence, family roles, effective discipline, and communication skills. Child care is currently available during classes due to COVID 19. Class meets requirements of local justice systems, county children services agency, hospitals, health centers, and schools. Class is taught by a licensed therapist and is limited to 10 participants.

Also offers training to parents on how to boost their child's academic habits and performance. Parent training is conducted in group settings. Provides parenting education through Active Parenting, a 6 week course, sessions designed to help parents of teenagers and children age 5 - 12 years develop parenting solutions. Also provides support as well as mental health treatment for the disorders of childhood. Sessions are focused on the social, emotional and mental health needs of parents and children.

COAD provides free child care referrals for individuals looking for child care services. COAD has trained counselors to complete and intake with families that will provide the best options for the needs of the families. COAD helps improve the quality of child care in the same 10 county. Staff assist individuals opening a child care program, looking for to star rated or increase a rating. COAD will help individuals walk through the licensing process of becoming a foster family in the same 10 county region. COAD offers parenting wisely parent education classes.

Offers a 10-week parenting class that provides information for the first two (2) years after baby's birth. Limited childcare available during class.

provides information and support to fathers to help them develop stronger bonds with their children. Information on parenting is provided and fun parent-child activities are offered. Will refer the father to other community resources that may assist as needed (such as help with budgeting, understanding family law, and/or employment).

F.A.S.T. is a school-based program that assists parents in helping their children ages 4 to 9 years succeed. The program builds protective factors against school failure, violence, delinquency, and substance abuse. Following F.A.S.T., families participate for two years in a monthly self-help group called Fastworks.

Provides one-on-one parenting skills instruction with with a trained volunteer using a curriculum focused on issues facing fathers. Participants have the opportunity to earn points that may be used to purchase baby items from the agency such as: infant clothing, formula, diapers, etc.

Offers abstinence education, pre-natal classes, childbirth classes, parenting classes and post-abortion support classes. Offers community referrals, a speaker's bureau and a resource store for those enrolled in the program.
