National Trail Parks & Recreation District | National Trail Parks And Recreation District

Provides activities include golf, tennis, adult and youth athletic leagues including but not limited to soccer, flag football, basketball, volleyball, baseball and softball. Youth and adult activities educational programs include summer camp, nature programs, arts crafts and much more are on the schedule. Residents can travel to Urbana (north), Cincinnati (south), and Buck Creek State Park (east), from downtown following the multi-purpose trails.

Grow With Your Neighbors | Five Rivers Metro Park District Main Office

Assists neighborhood groups in the development of community vegetable gardens on vacant lots. Includes help with organizational planning and garden site design. Also offers educational workshops, access to resources, use of equipment, such as rototillers, etc. and a communications network.

Huron County Parks | Huron County Park District

Maintains 2 parks in Huron County, with plans to expand to Willard and Monroeville. * Shady Lane Memorial Park. Shady Ln Dr, Norwalk. Features short gravel walking path, expansive green lawn space with trees and native wildflower garden beds. A picnic table, stage, and the Huron County Law Enforcement, Firefighters and Veterans Memorials are all nearby the park entrance. * Nature Trails and Land Lab. S Norwalk Rd W, Norwalk. Features handicap accessible trails, boardwork, pond, stream, campfire area, benches, picnic shelter with tables, learning center with field guides, books and binoculars. Parks are dog friendly.

Administrative headquarters of park district. Features 150 acres of forests, prairies, ponds and streams. Provides over five miles of public trails. Staff of naturalists sponsors weekly programs for the public featuring a variety of hikes, field trips and natural history programs.
