Provides free family fishing at the visitor center. Equipment and bait are provided.
Provides the central administration of the Mansfield Parks Department. Provides information, daily maintenance, and patrol for each of the 32 parks in the City of Mansfield. Oversees operation and maintenance of city pools. Operation of swimming pool programs are contracted by the Mansfield YMCA. Many parks have baseball diamonds, tennis courts and swings. George Rogers Clark Park is nearly 240 acres of green space, shade trees, scenic waterways and wildlife make it perfect for picnics, fishing, hiking, and observing nature. Four shelters are also available for rent. Woodland Indian village with structures to tour. Historical events.

City of Newark fishing permit allows 24 hour access to the park. More than 100 acres of ponds, stocked with a variety of fish. City sponsors two major fishing tournament - Trout Derby in May and Catfish Derby in August. No State permit is required to fish at this park. Fees from city permits help to offset the cost of restocking the ponds. Permits are available from the Parks Office at 40 West Main Street., Room 400.
