This agency provides free and confidential services which include free pregnancy testing and pregnancy related information including sexual integrity education.

Provides information and support to caregivers of older adults and adults living with a disability. Offers free workshops to community groups on topics related to caring for others. Offers telephone and in-person consultation for dealing with issues that arise in caring for others. Can provide short term respite care.

Provides general counseling services, comprehensive psychiatric treatment, counseling and case management services. Range of services may vary by site. Some sites also provide medication monitoring.

Family and Senior Services overview of programs supporting families: Counseling: One-in-five Americans struggle with diagnosed mental health issues. Yet, mental illness is still stigmatized in our society. When mental health and negative stigmas are paired with poverty and hardship, the most vulnerable among us may have the most difficulty accessing vital mental health resources. CSS provides high-quality mental healthcare to low-income clients who are school age and older, because we believe income should not be a barrier to accessing mental healthcare. We employ licensed social workers and our counseling program is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Maternal Counseling: CSS’ Maternal Counseling program allows our licensed social workers to provide clinical counseling to mothers in their homes. This is essential for helping low-income mothers—many of whom experience pregnancy- or parenting-related stressors such as postpartum depression, relationship problems, isolation, or a lack of support. We have seen through our experience with this population that new mothers often have multiple barriers to care and lack the resources they need to raise their children in safe, nurturing environments. We are one of the only agencies that visits these mothers in their homes to remove barriers to care, like finding childcare and transporting children. We are committed to giving low-income mothers the support they need to keep themselves and their children healthy. Case Management: CSS’ case manager is available to help clients tackle the multitude of barriers to economic self-sufficiency and overall family well-being. Our case manager can help clients acquire affordable housing, learn how to manage their finances, find childcare, find jobs, access benefits and community resources, and more. Our case manager acts as an advocate and support for clients who lack strong support systems. Our Lady of Guadalupe Center: Through Our Lady of Guadalupe Center, CSS works to reduce poverty by addressing its root causes within the immigrant Hispanic community concentrated on the west side of Columbus. This population is growing and experiences disproportionate poverty. In 2017, CSS expanded the Guadalupe Center facility, which allows us to serve more people. In addition to meeting their emergency needs, we now offer holistic case management and wrap-around services which will transform our clients’ capacity to become self-sufficient Pathways to Hope (Pathways): CSS’ Pathways to Hope program addresses homelessness and domestic violence in the Columbus, Ohio area. Pathways steps in to empower survivors of domestic violence with children by offering two years of case management. By supporting survivors and their children as they leave the homeless shelter, we help them rebuild their lives in safe homes, with stable incomes and a network of healthy, supportive relationships. Stay the Course™: CSS will place three case managers at Columbus State Community College starting in August 2019 to replicate Catholic Charities of Fort Worth’s trademarked Stay the Course™ program. Case managers will help low-income students persist in school and ultimately graduate, equipping them with credentials that increase earning power. The Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) at the University of Notre Dame will evaluate the program’s results. St. Francis Center: The St. Francis Center serves Portsmouth, Ohio as a one-stop community center providing families hot meals, clothing and household items, food, and emergency assistance. The Center serves as hope and healing for the community. In-home child therapy and mental health programming for children and their parent(s)/caregiver(s). Service includes assessment and home-based counseling. Assessment completed before home-based counseling. Includes the following: * Psychosocial history * Marschek Interactional Method of Assessment * Sensory Motor Questionnaire * Child Behavior Checklist * Childhood Trust Survey Home-based counseling utilizes therapy sessions that include the child, therapist, and parent(s)/caregiver(s) in interactive settings. * Services are faith-based and LGBTQIA+ inclusive.

Provides treatment services to male youth ages 6 to 12 years old with a history of sexual relative behaviors and sexual offending issues. Youth receive individual and group counseling, as well as home-based services.

Community psychiatric supportive treatment. Provides intensive case management to severely mentally disabled clients and provides after hours emergency crisis intervention for their clients. Behavioral health assessment, counseling and therapy, medication management.

Offers one-on-one support for parents who have experienced a perinatal loss (stillbirths, newborn deaths and miscarriages). Also produces a newsletter for these parents.

Program works specifically with Franklin County Children’s Services, Franklin County Juvenile Court and the Franklin County ADAMH Board to provide an intensive, evidence based program with 24 hour crisis intervention to children and families who are struggling with the challenges of legal behaviors, substance abuse, oppositional behaviors, and severe family conflict.

Outpatient groups address various treatment areas for children 5-17 years old. Incentives are offered for attendance and participation and dinner or snacks are provided in many groups. Groups include Anger Management, AOD (alcohol or drugs), AOD Residential Aftercare, Caregiver / Parent Support, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) for Youth & Caregivers, Girls Empowerment Group for Survivors of Trauma for Youth & Caregivers, Lasting Solutions for Everyday Problems (Family Conflict & Problem Solving), LGBTQ, Managing Feelings & Making Friends and Teen Social Skills.

Provides assessments of adults, children and adolescents with psychiatric difficulties and prescribes medication if warranted. Monitors the effectiveness of the medications and possible side effects. Meets with family members, attend treatment teams, and work with hospitals to coordinate treatment when indicated.

Provides an inpatient mental health unit. Also provides psychiatric day treatment program, psychiatric disorder counseling and medication monitoring for those taking psychiatric medicines.

This is a post-abortion study that is to help promote healing from an abortion loss. This is lead by a peer counselor and is done either in a group setting or one-on-one.

Offers marriage counseling.

Offers hospital advocacy for women who have been sexually exploited or trafficked.

Maryhaven's Delaware location provides behavioral hoarding counseling and case management to help clients resolve their mental, emotional or social problems.

Provides information and support for cancer patients and their families. Offers referral to resources (including financial assistance and clinical trials), help with transportation arrangements, and assistance with health insurance. Answers questions about the disease and provides general information about cancer.

Provides independent living skills, training, community support coaching, and social work to individuals of all ages transitioning back to the community.

Provides Readjustment Counseling Services (RCS) for Veterans, Guard/Reserve and Active Duty Members by providing benefits application assistance, information and referral services for veterans to include job placement referral, alcohol and drug referral, claims contact referral, and primarily assist as the focal point for Veterans in need of Mental Health services or direction for assistance of the above mentioned.

Project Rachel is here to help anyone who is struggling with the physical, emotional, or spiritual effects of having been connected to an abortion.

Provides short-term one-on-one support to help individuals cope with the impact of their own or a loved one's cancer diagnosis.

Provides assessment as well as individual and couples counseling to those with problem gambling issues. This agency has at least one counselor who has received at least 30 hours of gambling-specific education, 100 hours of gambling-specific clinical experience, and 4 hours of clinical supervision.
