Patients who live nearby and have a supportive living environment but who need intense treatment enter the Day Treatment Program. Room and board are available. After approximately two weeks patients may transition to the Intensive Outpatient Program to continue the program. Day Treatment Program is also the first phase into a residential program. Room and board are available with 24-hour supervision. Patients attend educational sessions on weekdays as well as Saturdays and Sundays. Recreational activities and visitation time are permitted. After approximately two weeks patients transition to the Extended Residential Program.
Our physicians will determine the dosage of Suboxone that is needed for each client. We will also have Subutex for any pregnant women. After you have seen the counselor, you will see the nurse practitioner and will be diagnosed. Then you will be given a prescription.

The Teen Advisory Council consists of Knox County youth, grades 9 - 12, who actively work to end teen dating violence, as well as the prevention of alcohol, tobacco, and substance use among peers. TAC members are ambassadors of healthy, safe, equal, and non-violent relationships among their peers and in the community. TAC focuses on preventing unhealthy behaviors among Knox County youth before they begin. TAC students representing all Knox County schools plan and implement prevention projects intended to create change centered on individuals and the larger community. Prevention work is a project of the Knox Substance Abuse Action Team (KSAAT) and DELTA IMPACT of New Directions. Members receive leadership training, gain knowledge of critical issues impacting teens, and learn about the Knox County Community.

An evidence-based prenatal cessation program that helps women quit smoking and stay quit even after the baby is born. As a reward for quitting smoking, the moms will receive free diapers for their newborn baby for up to 12 months after the baby is born. Four brief appointments with Whitaker are required before the baby is born. A carbon monoxide reader is used to measure the amount of CO gas in the breath of the participants. Once the mom is smoke-free and remains smoke-free, she is given a $25 voucher each month for a year to purchase diapers at Wal-Mart.
