The focus will include supporting the transition from addiction to sobriety and sustaining recovery long term upon discharge. Aftercare referrals provided which may include referral to Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Participants first complete a residential "Induction Phase" consisting of intense Bible study and work duties (meals provided). Programming begins on a 139-acre property in Lancaster, Ohio, and focuses on personal growth and development. Men will participate in individual and group counseling with licensed counselors. After approximately 30 days, men begin the Workforce Development program to start establishing a healthy daily routine and building a work history to prepare them for life after The Refuge. They will continue going through individual and group counseling.

The residential treatment program at Hope Valley Recovery is built around a phase system that promotes growth and opportunity for the client. The basis of our phased treatment program is outlined below: Phase 1—Revive Phase 2—Renew Phase 3—Rebuild Phase 4—Reintegrate Phase 5—Recover. Admission to Hope Valley Recovery is voluntary. Clients must be 18 years or older and meet the criteria for admission.
