Provides a 16 bed Men's residential treatment program for men who have been identified as having moderate to severe substance use disorder(s) and are unable to safely engage in early recovery outside of a structured 24 hour supervised setting. Men will participate in up to 30 hours a week of clinical programing, receive vocational and employment services case management services to being the identification of resources and benefits needed to increase the likelihood of successful transition back into the community that will support on-going recovery. There are also residential housing options for SUD after completion of residential recovery program.

Professional staff are committed to exceeding the requirements and expectations of clients in a positive atmosphere of flexibility, trust and respect. The substance abuse services provided can be customized based on client needs and includes relapse prevention services.

Provides support, counseling, and information for individuals early into their recovery from drugs and/or alcohol. Helps develop the skills necessary to maintain sobriety and deal with the feelings associated with early recovery. Support and counseling are offered to family members of the individual in treatment. Can incorporate counseling for dual diagnosis.

Offers SUD and MH services for active duty, reserves but must be on active duty, dependents of active duty, or have base access. Only accepts Tricare select insurance.

Offers classes which help recovering drug and/or excessive alcohol users make the cognitive, behavioral and attitudinal changes that are necessary to prevent them from returning to their previous patterns of use. The program helps participants deal with a wide variety of issues that have an impact on their commitment to sobriety. Includes resume preparation asistance and GED tutoring.

After treatment is completed, we strongly encourage patients to attend a weekly, facilitated aftercare group for one year. Since aftercare is important to long-term recovery, Shepherd Hill offers this service at a no charge.

Program offering services to help with substance use and chemical dependency; provides non-residential services, both at the Donahoe Center and at facilities through Ashtabula County, such as:

Offers a peer-based aftercare program for those that complete treatment at IBH Addiction Recovery Center. Designed to help sustain long term sobriety after residential treatment by providing organized activities that foster safe friendships, reinforcement of values learned during treatment, a strong sense of community, and increased self-esteem. Activities include weekly volunteer projects, spiritual support groups, and community-based support groups to help build on the foundation introduced in residential treatment.
