Provides a 16 bed Men's residential treatment program for men who have been identified as having moderate to severe substance use disorder(s) and are unable to safely engage in early recovery outside of a structured 24 hour supervised setting. Men will participate in up to 30 hours a week of clinical programing, receive vocational and employment services case management services to being the identification of resources and benefits needed to increase the likelihood of successful transition back into the community that will support on-going recovery. There are also residential housing options for SUD after completion of residential recovery program.

The program helps participants deal with a wide variety of issues that have an impact on their commitment to sobriety. Includes resume preparation asistance and GED tutoring.
Provides assistance in finding employment, housing, healthcare, child care, legal services, transportation and more. Offers Wellness programs, such as smoking cessation, sleep hygiene and nutrition. Also offers education to help patients better understand their disorder and the steps toward a successful recovery.

We understand that it can be overwhelming to try to handle all of this yourself, so we’ll help you take it one step at a time by building a supportive community around you. We understand what you are going through. Recovery is challenging, and our team works hard to help minimize barriers and empower you to continue progressing on your journey of healing.
After treatment is completed, we strongly encourage patients to attend a weekly, facilitated aftercare group for one year. Since aftercare is important to long-term recovery, Shepherd Hill offers this service at a no charge.
Program offering services to help with substance use and chemical dependency; provides non-residential services, both at the Donahoe Center and at facilities through Ashtabula County, such as:
  • drug/alcohol assessment/treatment/continuing care,
  • crisis management/walk-in emergency services,
  • codependency assessment/treatment,
  • group therapy,
  • intervention training for concerned others,
  • inmate services,
  • on-call/after hours services referrals to detoxification or inpatient care
COVID-19 Temporary Message: All case managers, peer supporters, and individual sessions will begin to meet via telephone for individual appointments. Weekend UDS at Turning Point is also suspended, though regular weekday screening is still taking place. All of their residential facilities (Turning Point, Opal House, and Liberty House) are accepting new clients.
