• Increase communication and bonding with parents
• Learn how to keep the lines of communication open with parents during stressful situations
• Develop a healthy self-image and self-esteem
• Learn positive social skills for home, school and in the community
• Parents will learn how to set limits and administer appropriate consequences
• Discover the relationship between responsibility and independence
• Youth learn to identify their skills and personal strengths
• Youth learn to make positive friends and productively manage time
• Identify other community services available for resolving family and personal issues.

Adolescent and Adult Drug and Alcohol Programs are dedicated to the goal of helping emotionally troubled Youth, Adults and their families lead fuller, happier lives without the use of alcohol and other substances. The Drug and Alcohol staff administers a complete evaluation to determine the amount and type of care the client needs and customizes a course of treatment to meet those individual needs. Treatment unites individuals and their families to support recovery, encouraging the best possible functioning. Our dedicated, skilled staff has broad experience in helping adolescents, adults and their families in crisis situations. They provide individual, family, and parental support while teaching Anger and Behavior Management skills through individual and group counseling. If you are concerned your child may be involved with drugs or alcohol, some warning signs you can watch for are:

• Sudden, noticeable personality changes

• Severe mood swings

• Decreased interest in activities, especially family activities

• Persistent arguments with parents or authority people

• Refusing to do chores

• Missing curfew

• Drop in grades

• Truancy

• Become sexually active.

Provides stabilization for adults ages 18 and up during crisis, assisting in providing a higher level of functioning.

Offers intensive outpatient, short-term therapy, in morning/evening assistance programs for drug and alcohol dependency problems. Offers professional guidance for planning an intervention (a technique used by interested parties to motivate an alcoholic or drug user to enter treatment). Also offers support group services for families of patients.

Provides licensed clinicians who can plan and assist families and friends of persons with a substance abuse or gambling problem to do an intervention to help that person recognize his/her addiction and seek treatment.

211 Cleveland

Assist youth ages ten and under who have been referred to court for allegedly being unruly or having committed serious felony offenses. This program provides services ranging from counseling, anger management, specialized diagnostic assessments, neglect issues, sex offenses and use of illicit substances. In addition the program offers the necessary services to the youth and their family to address and identify these concerns. Youth without charges can also be served by the 10 & Under program. Youth as young as six can be handled through the 10 & Under program. 10 & Under referrals can be made at anytime the center is open 24/7. For scheduled screenings with the Care Coordination Team can be made for Tuesdays and Wednesday 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
