The Union County Engineer is responsible for street construction and repair.

Planning, maintenance and repair of county roads, bridges, culverts, stream and ditches in right-of-way and assisting township trustees in maintenance of township roads.

The general maintenance department maintains pothole patching, asphalt restoration, and crack sealing.

Logan County Engineer's Office is responsible for the upgrade and maintenance of Logan County roads and bridges. The highway department is responsible for plowing, mowing, fixing pot holes, paving, weed control and repairing or replacing bridges.

Recreation program activities include golf, tennis, adult and youth athletic leagues including but not limited to soccer, flag football, basketball, volleyball, baseball and softball. Youth and adult activities and educational programs include summer camp, nature programs, arts & crafts and much more are on the schedule. Residents can travel to Urbana (north), Cincinnati (south), and Buck Creek State Park (east), from downtown following the multi-purpose trails. The Trail Walkers program,meets on Thursdays at 10:00, 9:00 am for the summer months, and highlights the multi-purpose trail system to promote fitness, fellowship and fun. Other activities such as golf, swimming, tennis, and special events take place at the many different parks in the county. The parks also provide areas for picnics, fishing, ice skating, horseshoes, playgrounds, athletic events and special event concerts and shuffleboard. The City of London Parks & Recreation Department maintains the community parks and coordinates all city sponsored recreational activities, programs, and facilities within London. These include; Cowling Park on N. Main St Merri-Mac Park on Toland Ave The Park Ave. Baseball Field London Municipal Pool at 205 Park Ave.
