Provides information and guidance for immigrants and refugees who need to evaluate their aptitude, abilities, and interests in order to choose a vocation or career and select the type of training that will enable them to obtain and progress in their chosen field.

Seeks to integrate refugees into American society economically and socially, while helping to maintain cultural heritage. Offers a variety of services including Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA), Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA) and Refugee Social Services program (RSSP). RCA and RMA are limited to the first 8 months from the date that the refugee enters the United States. Social services for refugees are available to a refugee for the first 5 years after arrival in the United States.

Services provided include housing services, employment services, access to healthcare, school enrollment, direct client financial assistance as applicable and referrals to other long-term assistance programs within the county and agency.

Assists refugees with applying for a zero-interest loan in order to establish a credit history or improve their credit score. Provides financial coaching within this program as well.

Provides assistance to the newcomer community (immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers) to help link them to appropraite community services and supports. Will help the client with understanding, filling out, and submitting forms/applications, gathering documents, and making appointments as needed. In some cases, bus tickets may be provided to clients to help them get to appointments.

Provides assistance to those interested in becoming naturalized citizens of the United States with information regarding the process as well as the service of an attorney who can help with filing the proper forms and who can provide legal representation in the naturalization process.

The program is designed to help prevent child abuse and neglect in refugee and immigrant families through parenting instruction and to assist these families in successfully raising children in United States. Services are provided home and center based. Classes are provided mainly in Spanish and Somali.

Provides mediation and conflict resolution to tenants who are having a conflict or other issues with their landlord. Will help the client understand their rights as a tenant and advise on how to resolve the situation.

Provides household goods, clothing, shoes, cleaning supplies, baby items. Items available depend on what the agency has on hand. Occasionally may have large appliances such as washers, dryers, stoves, and refrigerators.

Offers employment assessment and counseling, job readiness and job finding assistance, job training in computers as well as financial literacy and job placement for refugees.

Offers rent payment assistance to refugee and immigrant participants.

Provides computer classes and financial literacy training.
