Community-based after-school and summer camp programming provide opportunities for young people to explore visual art, production, dance, music, educational and other recreational activities.

Gives low-income, immigrant and refugee families access to free educational programming during their summer vacation. The primary objective of the camp is to prevent summer learning loss by providing students with additional help in math and language arts. The camp also includes enrichment activities such as wellness, dance and art as well as weekly field trips throughout Columbus. Youth Summer Enrichment Camp Sites are in 6 locations throughout Franklin County.

Provides tutoring and homework support to school aged youth. Agency staff help the youth understand and complete their homework assignments.

Provides support to those navigating the refugee/immigration process such as helping clients with filling out and submitting documents related to their refugee status and/or immigration case (such as applying for green cards, various immigration papers, and/or travel documents). Gives advice on test preparation, what to expect during the process, and what questions to expect during interviews with government officials. Provides basic information on how to prepare for obtaining employment (filling out applications, what to wear, how to handle job interviews). Provides translation assiatnce (English to Somali). Does not give legal advice (but will refer the client to the appropriate agencies if they need it).

Provides mental health services to Somali youth. Assessment, diagnosis and mental health treatment is delivered from a culturally sensitive perspective providing special consideration of the Somali population. Offers assistance with parent/child conflict, school difficulties, counseling, case management, psychiatric services and family therapy.

Provides interpretation services to the Somali and other immigrant communities seeking medical services at clinics. Provides translation and interpretation in several African languages including Amharic, Somali, Swahili, Giriama, Duruma, Kikuyu, Kamba and Digo. Additional languages include Arabic, Italian and Russian.

Provides basic literacy education to teach new refugees/immigrants simple skills such as how to write their name, give their home address, phone number, etc. Also provides tutoring to adults to refugee/immigrant adults who are taking GED/Basic Education classes.

Offers support and assistance for family concerns, food and health issues, housing and legal services, employment services and personal needs.
