Provides temporary housing for women with substance use disorder issues, a history of incarceration, domestic violence, and/or human trafficking. Service includes intensive case management, employment preparation, and permanent housing assistance.

Give Back A Smile | American Academy Of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation

Provides a network of volunteer cosmetic dentists who restore the damaged teeth of domestic violence survivors who received injuries from a former intimate partner or spouse. Repair is provided to the "smile zone" only (generally, the front teeth), however, a limited amount of work may be done for teeth outside of the smile zone in some cases. Program does not replace or fix dental work. In other words, dental work that does not fit, looks bad, no longer works, an implant that was started but not completed or any work that has been completed by a GBAS dentist in the past.

Practical Parenting | Women'S Recovery Center

Provides education regarding the effects on children of witnessing violence and substance abuse, as well as parenting skill development for those with children in these situations. Topics include the impact of violence on child development, characteristics of children who have witnessed violence, family roles, effective discipline, and communication skills. Child care is currently available during classes due to COVID 19. Class meets requirements of local justice systems, county children services agency, hospitals, health centers, and schools. Class is taught by a licensed therapist and is limited to 10 participants.

Victim Advocacy - Project Woman | Project Woman

Assist survivor/victims of domestic violence, rape and sexual assault and human trafficking with information and support to navigate the legal and justice systems, safety planning, and barrier reduction. Assistance with Protection Orders, court appearances, police reports, and related issues; court accompaniment, and assisted through the legal system on varying issues (filing charges, etc.) responds 24/7 to Hospital and provides Rapid Response to law enforcement as requested.

Domestic Violence Services | East Cleveland City Of -

Provides support and court advocacy for domestic violence victims. Sponsors mutual support groups for victims. Accompanies victims to court appearances when necessary. Provides information and referral to help victims find safety and rebuild their lives. Also provides an anger management group where participants can learn to control and channel their anger in a more productive way.

Justice System Advocacy | Journey Center For Safety And Healing

Offers assistance in dealing with the justice system to individual victims of domestic violence (including elder abuse), stalking or related crimes. Includes information on the legal process, safety planning, and planning for next steps in the legal process. Advocates are not attorneys but have access to lists of attorneys who are knowledgeable about domestic violence. Advocates are assigned to the criminal municipal courts and are available assist victims with the criminal court process, including temporary protective orders. Accompaniment to court is provided to victims who live in the areas served. Accompaniment services are available for victims with criminal complaints, child custody cases, juvenile court cases if the parents have been together but never married, divorce cases, and domestic relations cases. Those who are clients may have access to donated cell phones to use in emergencies.

Chrysalis Supportive Housing Program | Project Woman

Project Woman offers transitional and other supportive housing solutions for survivors of domestic or intimate partner violence and sexual assault. Goal attainment plans wrap intensive supports including housing advocacy, case management, empowerment education and clinical supports. Housing is based on availability and eligibility.

Domestic Violence Services - Crisis Intervention, Safety Planning, Shelter | Journey Center For Safety And Healing

Provides crisis intervention and safety planning for people who are in (or have experienced) a domestic violence situation. Also provides screening to determine if emergency shelter is needed for individuals and families who say they are are victims of domestic violence in need of safety and respite due to fleeing a domestic violence relationship or situation. If no need for immediate shelter is determined, agency refers individuals to their justice system advocates, domestic violence support group and other programming according to their assessment.

Empowered Parent Program | Womensafe

Provides parenting education to families that have experienced domestic violence. Goal is to reduce stress within the family by teaching behavior management. Agency representative will meet with the parent to access individual needs and concerns, observe the family's interactions, and develop an individual plan based in the family's specific needs.

Victim Services Program | Geauga County Sheriff'S Office

Assists and supports victims of crime and natural disaters as well as the families of these victims. Crime does not have to be a violent crime (client could be a victim of a fraud or scam). Also provides assistance to witnesses. Provides emotional support, transportation and accompaniment to court, help finding safe housing, and advocacy with legal, medical, and social systems.

Crisis Management | Womensafe

Offers 24-hour support and crisis management to hospital patients who have experienced domestic violence. Advocates meet with patients to discuss options, safety planning, and community resources. Advocates can assist victims to arrange intake to the shelter directly from the hospital. Outreach counseling is also available to clients in a secure, confidential location. Advocates are available to offer 24 hr. suppport over the phone to anybody who is a survivor of domestic violence (COPEline takes information and transfers call to WomenSafe's advocate).
