Seeking persons to volunteer as tax counselors for Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan county clinics. Counselors are also asked to volunteer for one clinic per week, or three hours per week from the end of January to the end of March. Training: Provided free of charge by our trained Clinic Coordinator and is completed in one of our clinic sites. Training's will be held Mid- January and an at home study and practice is available once the training is completed. Liability: Volunteers are not held liable for someone else’s tax return. It is the client’s responsibility to make sure the information provided is accurate and complete. Clients are required to sign a release form at the beginning of the session. Volunteers do not sign completed tax forms. Support: Help is also available by calling the Financial Stability Partnership Coordinator at United Way.

Offers compliant (REAL ID) licenses for air travel and standard licenses, which are not accepted for domestic air travel as of May 7, 2025. Licenses are valid for eight years and expire on the holder’s birthday.

The HEAP Winter Crisis Program helps income eligible Ohioans that are threatened with disconnection, have been disconnected or have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel in their tank maintain their utility service. The program runs from November 1 until March 31. Ohio households, serviced by a Public Utilities Commission of Ohio-regulated utility, must sign up for the Percentage of Income Payment Plan Plus (PIPP) or another payment plan in order to receive emergency benefits.

Will take clothing for any age group, baby food and formula, frozen and non-perishable foods, bedding and linens, cleaning products, home and office furniture, home furnishings, kitchenware, mattresses, computers (with Windows XP or newer), general office supplies, personal care items, arts and crafts supplies, books and magazines (content must be rated G or PG), musical instruments (no organs or pianos), special event tickets, toys (nothing militant like G.I. Joe, toy guns, etc.), infant/child car seats, safety helmets, school supplies, household/gardening/work tools and equipment, and automobiles. Donated items are never resold.
