Silver Birch was founded to fill the gaps of those community members who have nowhere else to go in times of need and crisis by providing funding opportunities, to not only help them fix or purchase what they need, but to also to create a sense of safety in our community and healing. There are those individuals who have been victimized that don’t qualify for other sources and may have to move out of our community to receive the help they need.The Silver Birch Foundation loves to collaborate with other agencies to make sure that our communities are strong and healthy. With the generosity of our community we have not only been able to help those that have been victimized but those that have come into other forms of hardships. The smallest amount can make a difference in the life of someone. We are impacting a number of people through foundation. The foundation was founded with the intent to grow and help older adults and people with disabilities that not have only been victims but have a need that cannot be met through other means.

Flu shots are given in the clinic on a daily basis Mon-Fri. FluMist is available to Muskingum County children ages 2 through 18. It is available to out of county residents for a fee. Special arrangements can be made by business and industry for on-site flu shots; providing enough of your staff are interested and requested time is available. We also provide Pneumonia,TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) vaccines on a daily basis. No doctor's order is required. There is a nominal fee for each of these vaccines. YWCA offers babysitting classes for grades six through eight. Classes focus on safety and life skills. Students participate in small group interactive learning, role-play and practice rescue skills with manikins. Students must attend all three classes to be a registered as a Safe Sitter. Membership NOT required.
