The Arc also serves as an advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Staff understand the laws and regulations that protect the rights of families of school-aged children and the adult population. Advocates meet with clients, accompany families to important meetings, and advocate on their behalf.

The Ticket to Work program gives eligible SSDI and SSI recipients access to employment career support and counseling services such as job placement assistance and, if necessary, vocational rehabilitation. In addition, provides a wide variety of "work incentives" to make it easier for SSI and SSDI recipients to work while still receiving health care and cash benefits.
