The Ticket to Work program gives eligible SSDI and SSI recipients access to employment career support and counseling services such as job placement assistance and, if necessary, vocational rehabilitation. Program providing protections and benefits to military personnel and their families, can assist qualifying customers with maintaining utility service while serving on active duty. Under the plan, Ohio’s natural gas and electric utilities cannot disconnect the residential utility service of any military reservist or National Guardsman deployed on active duty for nonpayment. Upon return from active duty, utility companies must offer customers a period of time equal to the length of their deployment to pay any arrearages that may have accumulated. Additional time may be requested by a customer if the amount in arrearages presents a hardship. Utility companies are also prohibited from charging any late payment fees or interest to qualifying customers during the period of deployment or the repayment period. The Patriot Plan does not apply to career active-duty military personnel serving their regular tour of duty.

Offers charging stations for cell phone users.

Provides critical financial assistance and other family support programs to the families of currently deployed service members and wounded post 9/11 veterans within 10 years of discharge. Critical financial assistance includes food assistance, rent and mortgage assistance, assistance with delinquent utility bills (gas, water, electric), home repairs, auto repairs, and essential baby items. Assistance is paid directly to the vendor or service provider and food assistance is sent in the form of a gift card.

Provides reinstatement of driving licenses that have been suspended for a number of reasons, including Driving Under the Influence (DUI) convictions, unsatisfied civil judgments, suspensions related to medical reasons, failure to produce proof of auto insurance, and a variety of other driving suspensions resulting from violations of Ohio law.
