Offers an anonymous hotline to report concerns over bullying, behaviors and threats to property or individuals, bomb threats, and other concerns for safety and well-being.

Provides prevention education programs in schools and for community groups. Skills-based learning is conducted to help prevent teen sexual activity, alcohol and other drug use, marijuana, and tobacco/nicotine/vaping use. Youth-led prevention programs equip high school youth to avoid risky behaviors, form healthy relationships, and help struggling peers. Parent education programs are also available.

Provides a service for individuals to locate a detainee who is currently in ICE custody or who has been in U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s custody for more than 48 hours.

Assists individuals in gaining access to a range of services available to them in the community, such as housing, income assistance, safety, physical and behavioral health needs, parenting education and vocational needs. Develops an Individual Service Plan (ISP) with the client and works with victims of domestic violence on issues of self-esteem, life-skills, and safety planning for themselves and their children. Also provides reestablishment services, such as relocation assistance and emergency rent/mortgage payments, security deposits for those with financial need. Often provides needed household items such as furniture, cleaning products, personal hygiene products, clothes, food, etc. Maintains follow-up contact with clients for a minimum of three months to two years.

Provides information and education on general crime prevention, personal safety, and specific topics dealing with crime prevention and safety. Offers security evaluations and vacation security checks.

Assists elder crime victims (age 60 and older) with a vairety of services such as: safety planning, trauma support, support during investigations and prosecutions, emergency repairs, spiritual support, and mediation services wether or not anyone was arrested or prosecuted. Works closely with Adult Protective Services.

Provides general crime prevention services including the following: - Vacation check programs. - Registers bicycle licenses.

Provides court advocacy to victims and witnesses of misdemeanor crimes. Provides information and explanation of the criminal justice system, court escort and preparation assistance with crime victims compensation. 24 hours crisis response and referral to other human service agencies.

Provides investigations of allegations of work and assets concealment, representative payee misuse and trafficking of Social Security numbers and cards.

Maintains the registry for all sex offenders residing in the county and handles neighborhood predator notifications. Includes an email notification system for the community.

Offers assistance in dealing with the justice system to individual victims of domestic violence, stalking or related crimes who are looking to file protective orders. Includes information on the legal process, accompaniment to court appointments, safety planning, and planning for next steps in the legal process. Advocates are not attorneys but have access to lists of attorneys who are knowledgeable about domestic violence. Also provides case management for survivors of domestic violence.

Accompanies clients to court proceedings while providing support throughout the criminal justice process, individual advocacy, and referrals to appropriate community resources.

Comprised of Victim/Witness Coordinators who serve victims and witnesses in the juvenile divisions. Provide information and support to crime victims and witnesses as their cases proceed through the judicial process. Assist victims and witnesses with understanding their rights and responsibilities so that they can make informed decisions throughout the process.

Provides general crime prevention information and vacation security checks (perimeter checks only, unless a problem is suspected).

Provides registration of and public record information about sexual offenders living in the county. Provides notification by mail to residents who live within 1,000 feet of an offender adjudicated as a sexual predator or habitual sex offender (when imposed by the court) or any sex offender who committed an aggravated sexually oriented offense. Provides data to update the Ohio Attorney General's searchable database of sex offenders. Handles complaints and reports of sexually oriented offenders within its jurisdiction.

Provide telephone crisis intervention services for people who are survivors of rape, incest and other forms of sexual assault. Services include steps to ensure the individual's safety, short-term emotional support, information regarding the person's rights and alternatives, and referrals and/or accompaniment to resources for medical, legal and emotional needs, advocacy and other related services.

State’s official crime lab. Provides criminal investigative services to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies upon request. Can submit a law enforcement tip on BCI investigation, crystal meth leads, election fraud, environmental enforcement, marijuana leads, public corruption, sex offender leads, submit a missing persons tip, unsolved homicide tip, report Medicaid fraud, patient abuse or neglect.

Provides payment to eligible victims of violent crime for their unreimbursed economic losses which may include: *Medical and related expenses. *Counseling for immediate family members of victims of homicide, sexual assault, or domestic violence. *Wages lost because of the crime. *Crime scene cleanup for personal security, such as doors and windows. *The cost to replace items taken as evidence. *The cost to replace items of clothing damaged as a result of medical treatment or assessment. *Reimbursement for hearing aids, eyeglasses or other vision aids, dental appliances, teeth or other dental aids, canes, walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment. *Lost wages and travel expenses for family members of a deceased victim to attend court proceedings. *Financial support for dependents of a deceased victim. *Funeral and burial expenses.
