Provides free, confidential crisis intervention to all victims of violent crimes and trauma, including victims of mass violence incidents. Offers emotional support and information. Victim Services | Cleveland Rape Crisis Center

Provides support, assistance and legal education to survivors of rape, sexual assault or sexual abuse when survivors choose to prosecute the offenders. Explains the legal aspects of rape and assault (but does not give legal advice), facilitates communication between client and other parties such as police and the courts, helps clients write Victim Impact Statements, and assists with dealing with the Ohio Parole Board. Helps clients access programs for victims of crimes in the State of Ohio and makes referrals to lawyers.

Court Advocacy For Victims Of Domestic Violence | My Sister's Place

Navigating the court and legal system can be discouraging and confusing if you do not have a legal background. My Sister's Place has a court advocate to assist victims of the crime of domestic violence. If you are living in fear from your abuser, it may be possible for you to obtain a protection order against this individual. If you have sustained injuries or other costly effects of abuse, you may be eligible to make a victim compensation claim. Our court advocate can assist you with these applications and answer questions about legal processes that are common to those experiencing abuse at home.

Victim Services | Family Health Services Of East Central Ohio

Crisis Intervention, Information/Referral and Victim Advocacy are available free to any victims and their loved ones. Support groups for sexual assault victims and non-offending caregivers of sexually abused children are available periodically. Safe At Home Address Confidentiality program applications completed for victims of domestic violence, stalking, sexual violence and human trafficking. Sexual Violence is our primary focus, but any victim of any crime is welcome to use our services.

Community Psychiatric Support Team | Womensafe

Assists individuals in gaining access to a range of services available to them in the community, such as housing, income assistance, safety, physical and behavioral health needs, parenting education and vocational needs. Develops an Individual Service Plan (ISP) with the client and works with victims of domestic violence on issues of self-esteem, life-skills, and safety planning for themselves and their children. Also provides reestablishment services, such as relocation assistance and emergency rent/mortgage payments, security deposits for those with financial need. Often provides needed household items such as furniture, cleaning products, personal hygiene products, clothes, food, etc. Maintains follow-up contact with clients for a minimum of three months to two years.

Justice System Advocacy | Journey Center For Safety And Healing

Offers assistance in dealing with the justice system to individual victims of domestic violence (including elder abuse), stalking or related crimes. Includes information on the legal process, safety planning, and planning for next steps in the legal process. Advocates are not attorneys but have access to lists of attorneys who are knowledgeable about domestic violence. Advocates are assigned to the criminal municipal courts and are available assist victims with the criminal court process, including temporary protective orders. Accompaniment to court is provided to victims who live in the areas served. Accompaniment services are available for victims with criminal complaints, child custody cases, juvenile court cases if the parents have been together but never married, divorce cases, and domestic relations cases. Those who are clients may have access to donated cell phones to use in emergencies.

Assists elder crime victims (age 60 and older) with a variety of services such as safety planning, trauma support, support during investigations and prosecutions, emergency repairs, spiritual support, and mediation services whether or not anyone was arrested or prosecuted. Works closely with Adult Protective Services.
