Supportive Services For Veteran Families (SSVF) | Axess Family Services

Provides first month's rent and security deposit to help veterans establish permanent housing. Will also help with advocacy and rent to help veterans stay in their current housing. If needed, clients are provided with eviction prevention help, benefits assistance, landlord/tenant assistance, and case management to ensure that they are connected to available community resources and VA benefits. Program may provide incentives to landlords to secure housing for Veterans with rental application barriers. Clients do not have to stay in the county they reside in (they may move from county to county).

Provides advice and representation for those being evicted, foreclosed upon, locked out, having difficulty obtaining repairs from a landlord, or who have had utilities terminated. Advice and representation may also be available to those who wish to enforce special rules of subsidized housing, or those seeking assistance with land contract problems and housing discrimination matters.
