Provides front door lock box on residents' door (installed by fire fighters). The lock box is used in case of emergencies to eliminate property damage that might be caused by first responders.
Offers small, safe-like steel boxes in which property owners can store entrance keys. The boxes are attached to the front door or mounted near the front entryway of an individual's residence and can be opened by a master key maintained by the fire department in the event that the resident is unavailable or unable to answer the door.
Offers homebound residents assistance with finding and accessing needed social services. Provides a lock box (aka Knox Box) that holds a house key and can be placed near the entrance of the home. The Fire Dept. maintains a key to the Knox Box in order to gain entrance to the home in cases of emergency.
Services to the community include File of Life cards for seniors to record medical information stored on the refrigerator, Knox Boxes to business and older adults that eliminate the need for forced entry, and free smoke alarms for older adults.
Provides emergency fire, medical, and rescue services to the City of Ashland and two contractual townships, Milton and Montgomery. Assists with smoke detector installation and provides information for Open Burning Regulations. Also provides the Knox Box Program, installing a locked key box to resident's door.
